What do you all think about the scrapping of points and the game running real-time.

So one day would be one day in game-time.

This would mean that you would have to "book" gigs rather than performing 7 gigs at a time.

That could go either way, good in some ways bad in others.

Actually, how would it affect the rest of the game. Writing, recording, charts, all that stuff factors into it. As you already know, just curious myself.

I voted for it - day = day is definitely my preference. (: (It's not exactly good on point-hoarders, but I'd rather see real-time.) I think I get the picture - you do the same stuff, except instead of picking a number of points, you set aside a number of days/hours on your calendar/schedule?

Couple of things confuse me -
1. Would charts still be daily, or would we move to once a week?
2. On gig-booking (and I guess studio-booking as well), would this be interactive in that you have to choose a night that someone else isn't playing at that venue, or possibly ask them if you can be a support act, and such as?

At the moment I think it could be a potentially bad thing, I haven't really thought about it too much but i think that the basis of the game is great and that if you change it too much it could loose a lot of players and have a negative effect.
Like i say i haven't put too much thought into it but my first thoughts are that it's potentially a bad thing.

i like it....

one day is a day.... osone gig a day max.... one single a fortnight?

makes it more real. and much more involved... But only if we have random events..

I like the concept. It's similar to games which use hours in a day/week as the price for actions. I think the finer points need to be hammered out before it replaces points. The pros are it equalizes everyone, no hoarding, and you'd have to log in often to really use you band(s). The cons are it makes it impossible to boost your band with saved points, logging in everyday would be kinda annoying.

However, we don't know the mechanics yet, so I say let's try it.
I hate signatures, but I love you.

It would make rp a hell of a lot easier. I agree with uberdaveman, more detail would be needed for me to really support this change, but I like the sound of it so far.

It could work, but I think it would also alienate a lot of people who wouldn't have the patience to really apply themselves to the game in a way like that.

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

I like it the way it is, it just needs some more stuff to do.

I couldn't play it like that, the reason I play it is I can check in at work and when I have a few spare minutes, thats the whole point.

I think it would be better to invest in more things to do in the game

You should be able to purchase more points with your game money, cause whats the point of it once you have all the countries?
Purchase double albums.
Purchase greatest hits albums.

A few things like that would spruce it up a bit...

Thats what makes me think its a bad idea, I don't really have the time at the moment to log in everyday to improve my band. I'm available at the weekends but some people lead busy lives and it's gonna be a bit tough to keep up.

I like the idea, but only if the points could possibly converted into something else that could help benefit players in the game. I don't think it would be fair for everyone to just lose their points they've been collecting all this time.

I think we should give it a try since I really couldn't understand the change.. Let's try it for lets say 3 days and that's when we vote, and what about those people who tried real hard to save some points?

Also, wasn't the original idea that v4 could be played alongside v3, so you could have your points and your calendars on separate accounts, and play whichever one you like best, or both if you prefer?

I just know with me, I would literally have no time to make my band better. I usually only have a few minutes each day to spend points. I just do not like the idea

Calm down psycho.

I stand by that idea.
If you can buy time by donating, then you can buy time other ways.

Just make the donate scheme more points.
