The Leopard Five was founded March 13, 2013 after Guitarist James 'Deadeye' Baulschoff and drummer Sam Bell began recording demo tracks in the military. On March 24, 2013, the band consisted of John Baulschoff, Deadeye, Rodney Baulschoff, Christina Baulschoff, and Sam Bell. Their debut album has just been released despite being finished for over 2 months. By late November, Rodney suffered cardiac arrest and was put in a coma, John Baulschoff put Leopard Five on a temporary hiatus. Deadeye and Sam Bell went on to form Sinigaro with bassist John Buck. Three weeks after being put into the hospital, Rodney Baulschoff died and was buried with full military honors. By mid-December, John Baulschoff stated that the Leopard Five would never be a band again. It only took two weeks before he changed his mind and made an appearance on Sinigaro's Respect for Rodney tour, officially announcing the return of Leopard Five. Despite the return, guitarist Christina Baulschoff said that she will not return with the band. It took 1 day and the Leopard Five got two people to take Rodney, and Christina's places. John Buck became bassist after touring with Sinigaro and Geoff 'Snake' Rodriguez became their guitarist. The full lineup is below. James 'Deadeye' Baulschoff (above) finishes hour 6 of the guitar solo. Approximately 16 1/2 hours before faulty pyrotechnics injured him. 26 year old Deadeye Baulschoff was looking to break the world record for longest guitar solo. Currently at 24 hours and 8 minutes, Deadeye came short. At the 22 1/2 hour mark, faulty pyrotechnics went off, burning Deadeye, 28 year old John Baulschoff, and two fans. Despite that Deadeye continued the guitar solo for a few minutes before paramedics convinced him to drop the guitar and get in the ambulance. Before leaving, Deadeye hugged his band members and the woman who was there to keep track of the record. Fans cheered as Deadeye climbed on top of the ambulance and stuck his metal horns into the air before finally climbing into it. Deadeye is currently in recovery with multiple third degree burns. John and the two fans only suffered minor injuries.

In an interview, Leopard Five vocalist John Baulschoff stated that the first Leopard Five single off of the second album, which is named One Dark Night, will be released late January. The album is to be released in March, according to Baulschoff. The statement comes 5 days after the injury of James 'Deadeye' Baulschoff in a pyrotechnic incident.

After a busy month, the Leopard Five has announced the release of their first single off of One Dark Night. Also stating that the album will contain some songs from Changed World only more refined. This refined version includes a more heavy guitar sound not found with Christina Baulschoff, but is found with Snake. According to Bassist John Buck, the song is about suicide. As the static beginning gives an almost eerie feel. Single information.
