Chimera have posted a sampler that has a 20-second sample of 4 songs, 2 untitled, one being This Concept & newley announced 'This City In Lights'

'This is the hardest thing we've ever done as a band, I hope you can get an Idea of how varied this new stuff is, keep an eye out for more samples & stuff like that, we're almost done with this now, we've got the vocals done for 5/10 tracks, these are the rough mixes but still sound good!'

UPDATE AGAIN:
Hey guys, sorry we havn't been posting alot in the last 2 days, we've beedn snowed in our houses so unable to reach the studio, and without the internet for most of us cause of this fucking snow, but we are back in the studio tommorrow, finishing off the vocals in Screamadelica Studios Cardiff, where we recorded our debut album, it's great to be back here & with only 3 tracks to finish!

But yeah, without anything to do we've already started writing individual stuff for what? album 5, like we said this could be the boost for the album that could take us to the arena level

but we've got 3 new tracks to announce!

'basically, we want to do something different, where we can play music and watch everyone get absaloutly fucked off their faces while doing it, these are our FIRST EUROPEAN DATES OF 2010 so get your tickets & get wasted, free entry after our gig at 10:30 pm where the best DJ's will play you through the night till you pass out!

come drink & dance with us after we rock out the clubs, dont worry, if you wanna get your party on before the gig, theres about 5 other clubs on the same street!

However, these dates will not be exclusive to europe, we WILL be going on a tour on some of the maddest tourist resorts & clubs in Europe, these are the first, we inted to spend alot of our time in Europe this Summer!

CHIMERA TO PLAY SMALLEST SHOWS SINCE 2007....

Chimera are set to announce their SMALLEST shows since 2007!
the band are set to announce gigs in the capital cities of the UK/IRE! (London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin)

they intend to 'connect with their fans' before heading for the newley announced 'European Party Tour' that goes over the hottest spots of Nightlife in Europe, which they will announce the support for tommorrow or sunday!

'It's simple, we want to run through the set we have for these gigs, it isn't that big but we wand to give fans something back for their loyalty, playing really intimate shows, it's something we won't be used too, I havn't played a barfly since January 2008 and that was in an acoustic project of my friends!' says vocalist Dan Serverge

The tour will take place in early June with Local support bands

'This is going to be the last chance we've got to play places like Barfly, so get your tickets to end something that we would of considerd ourselfs lucky to do play back in 2007, to sell out Barfly is one thing, but we didnt think that in less than 3 years we'd be looking at an album that could take us to an arena level!' he continues

As the time of This Concept draws closer, Chimera have announced they've FINISHED the new album, and can now reveal the last track will be called 'Take What You Need & Leave'

They are yet to set a release date but the album is expected in April

they've also announced dates for the smallest tour they've been on since 2007, warming up for the European tour this summer

Chimera have announced they are officially part of the Dark Blue music family,
The band is still signed to their label Spice Records, but we are also signed onto Dark Blue Music, so you better take a look at some of the other amazing bands on there such as Reckoner & Firecracker 47 + alot more

Chimera have announced that they have been busy this week filming for their new music video!
This is the 2nd video the band has done, and the first as Chimera

They went to a studio in London to shoot the new video for Upcoming single 'This Concept'

Dan Severge (vocals) said this:
'We're less than a week away from deciding on a release date for This Concept the album! and we'll tell you when we know, there's also talks with our label & promoters about going to the States on our first ever USA headline tour as Chimera, or this line up of what used to be Smash Up, so we're pretty excited right now! But there's not alot more we can tell you right now, except the entire small tour has sold out for definate, there's not one ticket in a store or site you can buy for face value, so you're gonna have to see us on the main tour and not the small one if you aint got your tickets yet.

We're gonna leave you with 5 exclusiv stills from the new video, coming to your screens soon!'

CHIMERA ARE CONFIRMED FOR MASHFEST

That's right, Chimera are playing their first summer festival at one of our favourites!
Mashfest, the first festival we've ever played will be on the the day off from the European tour, we're going to be tired as fuck but dont worry, we'll still be fresh at the party tour date the day after!

Chimera are known worldwide for their over the top festival shows, they take all the energy of a regular show & double it, with some of the other acts such as The Lost & Transferium Project, this is one not to miss!

This Concept the single is set to be realeased monday with 2 special B-Sides! pick it up to hear them!

The single will be availabe for Downlad & on CD in the UK, USA, Europe & Australia/New Zeland

The second single, This City In Lights, is set to be realsed in May, with a worldwide release

PICK IT UP!

The Video, will also be available to download in the USA/UK ONLY for £1.99/$2.50

Keep an eye out here and another friendly bands website tonight to catch the special tour announcement, where we hit the UK for 5 July Dates,

also, the rumors ARE TRUE! Chimera are set the USA, the announcement will come LATE TONIGHT with USA shows, get your tickets fast! the go on sale this monday, March 1st!
