Their name stands for the (BOYS), a term coined by Dahlhouse Entertainment team member Romeo Lefevre to describe the group's concept of possibly having an unlimited number of male members that may or may not debut after certain music eras, as they preserve their youth in such a fickle music industry. Their idea is to not limit themselves. The group is currently made up of Danny (Age: 19), Joon (Age: 20), Rae (Age:20), Lee-Yung (Age: 22), Kim (Age:19), Jaemin (Age: 21), Kyle (Age: 18). The group was official announced by Dahlhouse Entertainment in June 2016 with teasers of members Lee Yung, Kim, Jaemin, and Danny being released to the world. That same month, Dahlhouse announced that the BYS were training for their debut, without specifying a date. In 2017, BYS were listed on the Dahlhouse calendar for a January 2017 release. On January 20th, 2017 the BYS website launched. Shortly after, they released their first single "All Over U" which attained chart success on the Top 20. Reaching as high as #2. In 2020, BYS member re-emerged, posting a video of himself taking part in the I Wanna Dance Challenge and announcing a comeback for BYS in the near future. Late Fall of 2020, Lee-Yung was announced as a contestant on La Isla. In Decemeber of 2020, BYS website was relaunched with a new comeback imminent. In June of 2021, BYS returned with their comeback single "Mind Games", which was met with critical acclaim. The song went ont to reach #1 on Chart Heat, making BYS the first K-Pop boyband to go #1 on the top 20. The incredibly intelligent and talented Lee Yung is a Korean born performer who is currently apart of the Korean K-Pop boyband "BYS". After being discovered by Anniken Dahl Smith due to his striking looks and performing skills, the 19 year old was appointed the leader of BYS. Prior to his big break, Lee was admitted into music school at the age of 6 and attended the star making Seoul School of Performing Arts where he excelled at his studies. Despite falling into some trouble with authorities sometime before his graduation, Lee graduated from the Seoul School Of Performer Arts with high grades and the belief that he was destined to be a performer from the day he was born. Lee Yung was easily known as the clean freak and perfectionist by his peers back in Seoul and can sometimes seem mature way beyond his years. His tendency to sometimes be brutally honest has gained Lee-Yung some enemies in the past, but behind his sometimes poker-face demeanor and banter, he's a fun, loving and caring individual who is a great role model to his younger band-mates. With his striking looks and dancing skills as seen in his teaser video below, LEE YUNG is also very talented rapper and is one of the two rappers that are apart of BYS. LEEYUNG along with the rest of BYS will be debuted in January 2017.

The charismatic JAEMIN is the next member to be announced as a member of BYS! The 21 year old USA born member tried out to be apart of BYS in 2015 and was instantly looked at as a star to be, along with his other band mates. JAEMIN was originally born in the United States but moved with his family to Seoul, South Korea (his parents' home country) when Jaemin was just 6 years old. Growing up in Seoul, JAEMIN was often singing for fun, and it even showed that he had a wonderful voice even without proper training. His parents however, weren't interested in making Jaemin into a singing machine and pressured Jaemin to focus solely on his academic studies, in which he excelled in. JAEMIN attended Myung Duk Foreign Language High School where he strengthened his skills in English but continued singing as a side-hobby. In the early months of 2015, Jaemin got word of the DAHLHOUSE tryouts and decided to finally pursue what he always wanted to do. JAEMIN went against his parents word and attended the tryouts in Seoul anyway, and was selected to be apart of the band, and for good reason. JAEMIN might've been one of the the most inexperienced members when he was first cast as a BYS member, but over the last year and a half JAEMIN was announced as BYS lead vocalist.

He is the other rapper in the group and has spent a lot of time as a background dancer to one of the kpop singer Kim Hyun-a before being ask to be part of the group. Kyle is very much western in his personality and his way of thinking. He is bold, brash, outspoken and blunt with his opinions. That doesn't mean he isn't a hard worker as he spends a lot of time with Lee-Yung as far as lyrics and dance moves. He does get a hard time for being the youngest member in the group and not be legally old enough to do things but that just makes it more fun to do the things he isn't allowed to do. Sometimes he lack the maturity to avoid trouble and is one of the wildcards in the group. Character controlled by 'freestylechamp'

Growing up in Korea, Rae was always an extremely shy individual who didn't speak very much outside of his home. He often hid his talents until secondary school where he joined chorus as an extra curricular activity, where he begin to slightly open up to others. While in chorus, Rae put on numerous shows that often showed how special he was as a vocalist. Through these years he found that he loved performing arts even though he was in a science based high school. In 2015, Rae got word of a tryout for Dahlhouse Entertainment and attended. He was chosen for the group and appointed one of the lead vocalists of BYS. Since being signed, Rae was one of the members who had to train extremely hard in dancing as he's the most inexperienced dancer in the group, and like his motto says: "Life's a climb but the view is great" - Rae showed just how quickly he could learn to keep up with his other bandmates when dancing. Often awkward and shy, Rae is the quietest and most serene member of BYS but don't be fooled by his personality, he's got the pipes to make up for it.

Although Joon is the second youngest member of the group, he is a true professional at heart and is one of the more experienced members of the group despite joining the group at a tender age. Born on the South Korean island of Jeju, Joon and his family moved to Seoul when Joon was very young so his father could pursue a business endeavor. Unlike most children his age, Joon was interested in singing and dancing which is parents fully supported. Trained in the field and singing and dancing from 10, Joon landed a spot on Korea's "Micky Mouse Club" T.V series in 2014 which was very popular among South Korea's young audience. Joon appeared in just one episode but learned a lot from being on set and isn't typically a novice to the business like some of the other members. Still with a lot to learn, Joon was contacted in late 2015 to try out to be apart of BYS and got a callback. There's no surprise as Joon's witty personality and youth mixed with his strong voice makes him a triple threat and a key member in BYS.

KIM is the only Japanese member apart of K-Pop boyband BYS and for good reason. KIM was casted to be apart of BYS after a casting call in Osaka Japan, his home town, where he wowed people with his killer dance moves, bright personality and voice! All the more, KIM is fluent in Japanese and Korean and has spent a lot of his time in Korea where some of his family is stationed. At first, KIM didn't necessarily have a dream to be in a big boy-band, he had his sights set on sports like soccer until the age of 13 years old where he began practicing singing, dancing and rapping. Kim even auditioned for a Japanese signing contest "Warm Winter" at 14. Unfortunately, KIM didn't make the cut and this fueled his dream even further to perfect his craft. By early 2015, KIM became a fully fledged star-to-be and after trying out for a DahlHouse audition, KIM was placed in BYS and announced as the groups Lead Dancer and Sub-vocalist.

DANNY is a Busan born performing arts specialist and the second youngest member in BYS at just 19 years old. Don't be fooled by his young age however, DANNY has worked extremely hard in perfecting his abilities to match those of his older group-mates. DANNY has been dancing and performing for most of his life and comes from a family of dancers. Danny's mother enrolled him into dancing and vocal school at 9 years old, he did most of his primary studies at the Seoul Primary School where he also specialized in dance and performing arts. When news of tryouts for a new band hit South Korea in 2015, Danny quickly signed up and was later named one of the members of BYS due to his exceptional star quality and talent. Danny was publicly named BYS main dancer and subvocalist on September 6th, 2016.
