2.18.10 BEEN A WHILE, EH?

Wow guys, sorry about not updating this since December. To be honest with you all, we've had some issues. Our last tour was postponed and we've had a few issues in the band, mainly with Jasper, that he's needed these past few months to sort out. We were all kind of stuck in limbo, not sure what to do. I think we're good now, been working on a few new songs, spending time together as a band.

So, hopefully we can get that tour postponed from December started up, likely hitting up Small Clubs across the USA. If anyone wants to tag along as support, we'd love some.

Much love guys. See you soon.

07.2.2010 TOO LONG

Guys, it's Leon here. Sorry we haven't updated in forever, but hopefully this news is worth it. We've got a new record in the works, and we're gearing up for the final mixing of it. We're so glad you guys haven't quit on us, because we plan to hit the road touring ASAP. If we can't sign on as support or co-headlining for another act we will launch our own summer tour!

The new record is great! I can't give away much, but I can tell you we've steered our direction into a heavier, harder style of music while retaining our signature sound. Infexxion is proud to have some loyal fans. I hope we can release a single soon and see you on the road, headlining or as support.

Thanks again.

07.03.2010 NEW SINGLE SOON!

Hey Infexxion fans! Great news! We're releasing our new single very soon, we've decided to release the song called "Blow You Away" As our first single. It's a hard hitting alt metal song that, you guessed it, has the lyrical content of being fed up with someone's excuses and lies and just wanting to 'blow them away'! We're excited to give you guys some new material, and we ARE AVAILABLE TO TOUR AS SUPPORT! Please contact us if interested! Thanks!

Infinite would love to have you tour with us for a little. Infexxion is a really talented band, and it'd be a shame to miss out on the chance to tour with you. Let me know if you're interested!

Here's A Track Run-Down:

01. The Redemption 2:31

The track opens with a lone, sad violin being played. We hear a door open, and footsteps. "Honey, I'm Home." You hear a man say. A few seconds of silence, and then we hear the man walking up steps. A door slowly opens, and we hear a gasp. "No, no! Jessica! Jessica, hold on!" We hear the man shouting, in a panic. He grabs a phone and dials a number. "Yeah, it's my wife, she's been shot! Send an ambulance!" A slow guitar riff begins to play, matching the dampening, depressed mood. We hear a drawer open, and a gun being pulled out. We hear a clip being inserted, and the gun cocked. The riff slowly starts to build up, a hi-hat pattern joining it. We hear a window open, the wind blowing hard. Then, we hear a female's voice speaking as all the instruments come to a stop. "You lost it all, and they won't help. This is in your hands now. All you have left is Redemption. This is The Redemption." Then, suddenly, all the instruments come crashing together into a pounding hard rock instrumental at the 1:50 mark, playing a hard-hitting riff with a heavy drum pattern and thundering bass line until the song slowly comes to a close with all the instruments fading out.

02. Wicked End 3:49

A small guitar riff is played for several seconds, slowly building up as the riff gets faster and faster over about 30 seconds, several tom hits and then a snare bring the drums and rest of the band crashing into a hard rocker with a decent hard rock riff and a go-stop drum pattern. The vocals of Johnny Deck kick in, slow at first as he sings about how everything someone knows is destroyed in a day. A quick two-drum hit of a snare and a tom drops us into the chorus where the vocals really shine, shifting from a powerful scream to a light whisper toward the end of the chorus.

03. The Spectrum 4:31

A space-sounding ambient sound is played for a few seconds, before the bass is heard. Johnny brings in the vocals slowly on this one, the first verse is "Feeling like this isn't the way I wanted it to be, leave me like this. I'm so broken, so torn, so faded." Then all the instruments come together for a steady rocking chorus in which the lyrics focus on being isolated and depressed, and how you feel the limits of " the spectrum" holding you down. This song has a bit of a distant, space rock feel.

04. Shades Of Gray 4:21

A depressing ambient sound is played for a bit, and then a moody guitar slowly finds its way in. Uplifting drums keep the beat steady as the lyrical content focuses on trying to eliminate depression or sadness, or in a more literal interpretation of the lyrics, the "shades of gray" the singer sees everywhere, which reminds him of things that are no more. The song starts to get louder and more uplifting towards the end, but it is stopped and fades on a depressing note.

05. Remedy For Suicide 3:54

One of two songs where Johnny Deck plays guitar. A very catchy, yet very metal guitar riff is the first thing we hear, before the rhythm guitar breaks in for a few seconds and then the whole band jamming to an edgy metal lead guitar backed up by a strong rhythm section, a pounding bass that pulsates with every beat, and snare-focused drums keeping it heavy. The lyrics deal with how someone is crying about how their life is so bad and they feel the need to kill themselves, but the singer has "a thousand things wrong that don't make a right yet I don't feel the need to take my life tonight." The chorus is half screamed/half sung by Johnny Deck showing off his vocal range.

06. Forget Your Wishes 5:34

A very powerful song. The song starts slow, with a catchy yet damp riff. The singer joins in about 30 seconds in, singing in a low voice about focusing on day-to-day life and not planning ahead. At around the 2:00 mark the drums come in with an almost march-like beat on the snare, and a low bass soon follows. The lyrics shift direction to a more blunt style, part of the third verse is "So now I'm down again, but I'll survive. Strides like mine leave nothing behind. Forfeit your one, forfeit your all. Forget your wishes, they are none against all." At the 4:00 mark the acoustic guitar switches into an electric one playing the same riff, and the song turns into an alternative rocker with a powerful chorus and powerful lyrics which overall center on someone else wanting everything but knowing they can't have it.

07. That One Mother Fucker 3:39

The whole band comes crashing into this one, playing a hard rock stop-and-go pattern aided by Johnny Deck on rhythm guitar. After about 20 seconds the whole band stops and an effected lead guitar is played for about 7 seconds alone, before the vocals and basic drum pattern aided by a catchy bass are brought in. The lyrical content describes seeing someone cocky, arrogant, full of themselves and getting all they want, constantly taunting the singer. So the singer decides to get some payback in the form of a fight, the chorus being catchy and describing slamming a fist into the cocky person's face and kicking their ass. A hard rock fight-anthem.

08. The Last Breath 4:02

The slowest song on the album. It's just Johnny Deck, a piano, and Christian Walling playing an acoustic guitar. But it's just Johnny and the piano for the first two minutes. The songs describe someone's death, and how everything is slowed down. They remember everything, yet they remember nothing. The lyrics jump from fear to wonder to disbelief. The acoustic guitar breaks in and adds even more melody, aiding the singer's voice. At the end, Johnny holds a 30-second long note, bringing the song to a close.

09. Blow You Away 3:25

The first single released. The whole band crashes into this one, and the lyrics deal with being so fed up with someone you just want to "blow them away". The song may have a double-meaning, if the lyrics are viewed as referring to people who have tried to kill you, the song could technically be about soldiers. A thundering bass is present, and the hard rock roots run deep in this song, showcasing the band's love for straight up in-your-face hard rock.

10. Broken Sky 4:01

Leon, the drummer, plays almost a mini-solo at the start of this song, lasting 30 seconds. After that, Johnny and Christian (playing an effected guitar) are the only thing heard for the first verse. Johnny sings in a light, almost whispering voice for the first verse, the lyrics dealing with how the world is so torn and if you look up one day there will be a hole in the sky from the damage we've done. When the first chorus hits the drum and bass break in, and continue throughout the rest of the song. This seems to be one of the few Infexxion songs dealing with real-world issues affecting humanity as a whole.

Reviews for the album are good, but all note the band has moved away from its punk/rock/alternative/metal style for a straight up hard rock/alternative metal album with an almost unnatural perfect balance of heavy hitters and slow songs.

TOUR UPDATE, NEW SINGLE!

Guys, what's up? It's Leon here, figured I'd update you guys on a few things. First, yes, we're appearing at Warped tour and we are totally pumped for that! But, seeing as it doesn't start for a while, we figured we'd kick off our own tour for the next month or two. We've decided, instead of going with another leg of 'The Redemption' tour, we'd want to do a tour as something else, and thus, we've come up with the 'Renegades & Rockers' tour, which we're hoping we can get some pretty kick-ass bands on. If not, we'll just have to fly solo with it, but the former is much preferred. It'll be a tour across the US in October and part of November. We'll probably be hitting up large theaters/music halls and small arenas, depending on whether it's just us, or we get some other bands. We'd love to do a co-headlining thing, any bands that are interested, let us know! We'll take rock, metal, alternative, electronic, techno, trance, nu metal, but no straight up rap, pop, or country, sorry.

Also, 'Broken Sky' has gone well beyond our expectations to take the new title of 'Best selling single off The Redemption', so we'll probably drop that song to later in the set for the live show, and we've decided to release a new single! We're releasing 'Shades Of Gray' as the fourth single, be sure to call in & request it!

Until next time!

Much love,
-Leon

10.20.10 NEW SINGLE, TOUR INFO!

Yo guys, it's Leon!

Tours been going great, we thank The Rockers & Fight! For joining us, it's really fun watching them perform, and seeing the fans singing along to them, and us. It's a blast, we couldn't be more grateful.

I'm proud to announce 'The Last Breath' will be our next single! Sorry that it's another slow one for all you headbangers, but we really love the song & feel it will be a powerful addition to the live set, we hope to see you singing along. Be sure to call in & request it next week!

As you may or may not have noticed, we have a Halloween special coming up! To celebrate, me & the other guys are gonna dress up as our favorite character from a movie or video game, and we expect the crowd (that would be YOU, Grand Prairie, Texas!) to dress up! Of course, this isn't necessary, but it will be fun. We might even invite the best costume-wearer onstage to sing a hit with us, so be unique!

We're also gonna have a special set on the Halloween special, we're gonna play some old songs, some new songs, some acoustic songs, and some cover songs! It's gonna be a hell of a party, so Grand Prairie, be prepared!

We'll talk to you guys/see you at the shows soon!

Much love,

01.27.11 HUGE UPDATE

Hey guys, Leon here.

First off, I want to clear up the issues and rumors surrounding Christian. He decided that he no longer wanted to play lead guitar for us, and we were totally cool with it. We wished him the best, and this Warped Tour! tour was his last tour with Infexxion, and we will continue to stay in touch with him, after all, without him, we couldn't have come this far.

At the same time, Infexxion has always been about moving forward, whether it be in music, as people, or as a band. We're full-on recording this new album with several guitarists, and we'll have a permanent replacement for lead guitarist by the time the album drops. We're really excited to be releasing some new music to all the fans out there, and we couldn't be happier with where we are today, and we thank you immensely.

Also, if you've been listening to your local radio, you may have heard (a new version of) Burn Burn playing. We re-recorded the song and added some new effects to it and extended the bridge and the outro, and since Burn Burn was a song that was an old fan favorite, but never got released as a single, we figured we'd drop that one out to you guys to rock out to whenever it plays on the radio.

We're really trying some new things on this new album, while retaining the classic Infexxion sound, so in layman's terms, we want to experiment with music, instruments, and sounds, but still have music that you want to throw your fist into the air and headbang to. I'd look for our debut single off the album to come out sometime soon, so keep a sharp eye out, Infexxion fans!

And, my last announcement. We know some (most) of you guys are impatient mother fuckers, so we're going to launch a mini-tour across the US and play small theaters. Cool, right? Well, it's a full-band tour, but it's also going to be an acoustic tour! You'll see myself, Johnny, and Jasper along with a temporary fill-in guitarist named Aaron Rickmond on the tour, but it's going to be an entirely acoustic show. We're really looking forward to this one, and I guarantee you'll get to hear some new stuff as well as some old fan favorites on the tour, dates announced soon.

Much love

-Leon

2.03.11 ACOUSTIC TOUR DATES, FIRST SINGLE OFF NEW ALBUM!

Guys, yo! Leon here, we've got a ton of info for ya!

First off, the new record is coming along great. We're doing a lot of stuff we've never done before, and trying to mix in that Infexxion style that keeps your fist pumping in the air as well! With that said, we've picked the first single and it will be released to radio next week. The first single off our new album is a song called "Your Walls", and we've got a song that won't be featured on the album, but one that we recorded anyways, called "As I Fade Away" on there as well, plus a fan-favorite from our last album, "Wicked End".

Our Acoustic Tour now has an official name and dates. We're calling it the "Acoustic Walls Tour". It's sort of a mini-tour, we're not hitting up THAT many venues, but we figure it'll be good to see the fans, and you guys will get to see Infexxion in a way you don't normally see us, acoustic. We'll have the full band, plus special step-in guitarist Mark Leland along for this tour.

Dates are as follows:

2.19.11 Methuen Memorial Music Hall (Boston, MA)
2.20.11 Gramercy Theatre (Manhattan, NY)
2.22.11 Stabler Arena (Bethlehem, PA)
2.24.11 Norva Theatre (Norfolk, VA)
2.25.11 Newport Music Hall (Columbus, OH)
2.26.11 40 Watt Club (Athens, GA)
2.27.11 Ryman Auditorium (Nashville, TN)
2.28.11 Uptown Theater (Kansas City, MO) - ALBUM RELEASE PARTY/HOMETOWN SHOW
3.01.11 The Cotillion (Wichita, KS)
3.04.11 Fitzgerald's (Houston, TX)
3.05.11 Sarofim Hall (Houston, TX)
3.06.11 Marquee Theatre (Tempe, AZ)
3.08.11 Alex Theatre (Glendale, CA)

The entire concert will be seated, meaning you guys wanting to mosh will have to wait for our tour actually supporting the album, sorry. Since the set won't be terribly long, tickets are $12 for balcony seats (where applicable) and $15 for chair seats on the floor. NOTE: The album release party in KC will be a free show, but the set will be short. On the flip side, you will be able to buy the album first, and get autographs/meet us!

Looking forward to seeing you guys on tour!
