American beer will always stay shit, wine..well there are some really good ones. I myself am from lithuania where you can find the best beer in east europe. There's lots of beer made with..well old traditions or somethin, beer which isn't pasterized and without other things that keep its freshness (they make the taste worse), the result - fuckin heavenly taste.
And well carlsberg and heineken is disliked by most people in our country.

Stronghold - death metal with eastern and heavy metal influences

Witchcult - stoner/oldschool heavy/doom metal

Infernal Tribute - darkly humourous death metal/alternative/progressive

Micro brewery's are the way to go...fuck the ordinary run of the mill shit you can buy in bottle shops or get on tap, I love travelling down south in my area and visiting all the local small brewery's and getting utterly shitfaced on some of the finest beers you've never heard of and probably never will.
