This movie was all made up, on the spot. Nothing was planned, and the lines were made up about 5 minutes before we hit record. The plot was developed as we moved from scene to scene. Still, I think it's the best thing we've done yet, and gives me hope that we can do something really good someday.

These are some videos I filmed with my nephew recently.

Everything you see here was made up on the spot, and filmed in less than 1 hour. I enjoy doing this sort of thing when possible, and I usually end up more happy with whatever I'm doing when we don't plan it. So obviously, I'm very happy with these.

The second one, is actually just a re-shoot of the first with some added scenes at the beginning to explain a bit further how these guys got to the point of...well...you'll see...

Again, totally made up on the spot.

My nephew Austin never ceases to amaze me at the focus he gives to these little "movies." He's only 11!

The conclusion of something I did't know would end up being so much fun to make. It's not The Godfather, and it's not even Pluto Nash. But it's mine. :)

Just a suggestion man, but rather than keeping every shot static, why don't you pan the camera much more. I done 2 years of a movie-making type course in school and learned some great techniques. The best way to build up the tension when they're talking too, is to have quicker cuts and rapid editing. Although nice job considering you've been making them up on the spot!

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out how to do that without my camera re-focusing or some shit like that. It's just a Nikon photo camera so the settings options aren't great. But you're definitely right. :)
