Anyway, here are some things I'd like to share... - Instrumental stuff. Dude's worked with Mike Patton. And, although I'm not certain if it's alternative, since rap's not my primary genre, Sage Francis.

I hate him when he opens his mouth for anything else but rapping but once he gets down to his craft he's a fucking maniac. He's the only guy egotistical enough to mouth off whoever he wants basically and do a damn good job doing it. When it gets down to Lil' Wayne, Gucci Mane etc. They all have that manufactured type of sound but when you get to Kanye, he manages to give each of his albums a different sound that revolves around a set theme. 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' is a great album because in contrast to '808s and Heartbreaks'(his worst album IMO) he decides not to pull punches and tell his tale of a view from the Top to the Bottom. I would not to hesitate to call 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' my favorite rap album of the new decade and 'College Dropout' will ALWAYS chart high up on my list. An innocent Kanye is the best Kanye but a twisted one can still be effective.

He barely ever uses Autotune. Almost all of his Autotune songs show up on '808 & Heartbreaks" which I recently said was his worst album. Now as for the Daft Punk sampling. Sampling is going to happen and in the end, I'm thankful for it. Sampling means that he appreciates the artist's music and wants to use it in a song, thereby unleashing it upon a greater audience. There you go. His best songs IMO, from each of his albums except for 808 because I kinda just don't like that album. If I did choose a song, it would be Love Lockdown though.

He called 808 & Heartbreaks "Artpop", which sorta sickens me.

I have no problems with sampling. I love DJ Shadow's Endtroducing which is built almost completely from samples. But there's a world of difference between sampling a drum beat or whatever for a song (or building a song up from a host of samples), & simply taking the hook of someone elses song & using that, or worse, just rapping over a pre-existing song.
