Cassie expected to hear that Gia and Layla had fallen out, or something else small, but nothing massive like that. She sat bolt upright when Gia said it and could hear the pain in Gias voice. "He what? With who?" She asked.

Cassie can hardly believe what she's hearing from Gia, and she sits fully up on the sofa, trying to think of what to say. "That bastard!" She says eventually. "Are you sure they were sleeping together...did you actually see them do it?"

Cassie feels the sort of anger that she hasn't felt in months boiling up inside her, and she grabs the corner of the sofa. "Makes me sick? Two months? Doesn't he know he has a family on the way?2 She growls a little. "Who was the bitch anyway?"

Cassie shakes her head. "I dont know her at all. But why? Did he give you a reason?"

"What do you mean you don't believe him," Cassie asked. You think he wants more from her? Like..a relationship?" She was a little confused. Why would he hide it from Gia if he wanted more than just sex? She sighed. "But Gia...would it have hurt less if it was someone else?"

Cassie sat there sympathetically listening to Gia as she ranted on. "I know what you mean. I've never had someone do that to me, but just imagining what it would be like. Well..it's horrid. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you need me to kick him or anything?" She sighs again and scratches her head. "So what does it mean? Are you guys getting a divorce?"

Cassie shrugged. "Well ok then. But the offer still stands any time you feel he needs kicked." She nods a little to herself and takes a drink from her coffee cup. "I won't pretend to know how you feel, because I've never been in that position. My mind says that if anyone ever did that to me they'd be gone quicker than they could put their jeans back on, but I don't imagine it's that simple. So are you planning to take him back? When? Has he begged you yet?"

She thinks. "Yeah. Your kids will need their father, but you gotta make sure that he cleans up his act. There must be nothing worse than knowing that your dad has left because he was sleeping with someone else. That would kill your girls. Why did you watch him?"

Cassie is confused again. "Wait...he doesn't want to talk to you? What the hell is that about?" She scratches her head again. "No no no sweetie, I didn't mean why did you watch them...you know. I meant, why did you watch him on TV if it was going to upset you?"

Cassie coughs a little and then shoos away Katie, who is trying to ask who's on the phone. "There has to be a reason he said that though? Surely if you left him, it would be him desperate to see you? Not the other way round?" She sighs. "I know Gia, I know. I doubt he'll be thinking of her now though. If he has any sense at all he'll be ruing the day he cheated on you. Do you reckon you will forgive him..or do you just want to move on now?"
Cassie listened for a while. "Yeah...I get that. I just don't get why he won't see you. It must be really sore for you."

Cassie is quite shocked to hear this from Gia. "Oh wow. Damn, that is complicated." She thinks for a while on what to say. "I totally believe you Gia, and he is wrong to not trust you and go off like that. I mean, even if you did kiss him, it's hardly equal to what that scumbag did is it?" She shakes her head and stands up, walking around the room. "He called you a bitch? I'm gonna kick him for real now! And he kicked you out? Are you kidding me? You are sooooo better without him Gia! Is he expecting to never see you again?"

She sits back down again. "So...what are you gonna do? Just stay single forever?"
