Gia looked over at him. She had a sad look in her eyes, as if they were begging him to make all this stop even though she knew he couldn't. She had never felt more terrible before. Usually, she just ignored stuff and moved on but she couldn't this time. She wanted to sleep but was afraid of another nightmare. |

Scott looked deep into Gia's eyes and saw the sadness. A single tear rolled down his face, as he knew there was nothing he could do to make her feel better. He closed his eyes for a moment and breathed deeply. Then he looked back at her. He put one hand on her face, stroking her cheek gently with his thumb. He knew he had to speak.
