RyanRossHernandez: My greatest inspiration comes from being a fan of music and listening to as much of it as I can. I don't try to imitate anyone but I definitely get ideas sonically from songs and records I listen to. That mentality of "I want one of those in my playbook" takes over. If I reach a point where I no longer find new ways to challenge myself, my time as a recording artist is done. #ASKRRH

The short answer: She is a supremely talented singer, songwriter, and musician. At this stage of my life at 43 and with a lot of experience under my belt, I only want to work with people who I genuinely like and enjoy being around. #ASKRRH

RyanRossHernandez: I will always be honored whenever I am nominated for an award and shocked when I win. I will share a tidbit on why my expectations for awards have shifted over the years. In 2012 I thought for sure "Break in the Clouds" was going to win Album of the Year (or whatever it was called at that year's big ceremony), so I entered with set expectations. It did not win. In that moment, I realized I am pretty comfortable with the space I occupy. I find greater joy in having those I love and support being recognized. #ASKRRH
