Feel Good (ft. Mandy Williams)

Lyrics

I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
Make you feel, Make you feel,
I can make you feel good,

I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
Make you feel, Make you feel,
I can make you feel good,

I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
I can make you feel good,
Make you feel, Make you feel,
I can make you feel good

Description

The song starts with a high pitched giggling which is very quickly followed by the traditional squealing of Dubstep. The bass goes up and down for around 25 seconds with just the occasional girly giggle and laugh over that.
Then, a distorted piano riff starts to play as Mandy’s purposefully auto-tuned vocals sing the chorus. Her voice does not have its usual ‘Pop’ sound to it; instead it almost sounds quite eerie. The distorted piano merges with a fast guitar riff which helps to life the pace of the song quite drastically. Towards the end of the chorus, Mandy’s vocals do seem to have picked up pace and the pitch of her voice has now lowered slightly.
A squealing sound is heard just after the chorus finishes, this leads into a very dark dirty Dubstep drop which incorporates all of Buzz & Hype’s signature Dubstep styles in one massive attack on the listeners eardrums. A moaning sound can now be heard and this leads back into the chorus again.
The second chorus is very much the same as the first, except the beat beneath it is slightly dirtier still; it is going at a crazy speed and continues to reach highs and lows. As Mandy’s vocals reach the third repetition of “I Can Make You Feel Good” her voice comes in again as if to harmonise with herself. This helps to keep the eerie effect at a high.
After the second chorus finishes the track drops again to the same degree as it did the first time, creating a fast pace, heavy Dubstep track that fits the club environment perfectly. The third chorus is not very different to the previous two at all, and leads the song to finish to a quiet giggling sound.

Interval

Lyrics

[Spoken]
Hello? Is this working?
Okay, good.
This is the interval.
Thank you.

Description

The song starts with applause, then the sound of footsteps can be heard walking across what sounds like a stage. Somebody taps on a microphone and then clears their throat. Lucifer’s croaking voice can be heard now as he checks to see if the microphone is working. Applause and cheering can be heard again as a response to Lucifer’s question.
Lucifer continues to talk and as he finishes a low buzzing blends with the applause and eventually takes over. Then a slight beeping sound comes in. This leads to silence with the occasional beep again.

The World is Mine (ft. Cinzia Ricci)

Lyrics

I take a step, one at a time,
I’m moving on, the world is mine,
I have no fear, just you and me,
I’ll take the world, and set it free.
Set it free,
Set it free,
Set it free,

I feel like I’m on top of the world!
No-, nobody can stop me,
Nobody can block me,
I feel like I am living my dreams,
With-, without a care,
As long as you’re there…

Take my hand, take a step,
The world is mine, no regrets,
Take a bow, and never cry,
We’re moving on, to the sky,
To the Sky,
To the Sky,
To the Sky,

I’m on top of the world!
I’m living my dream!
The world is mine!
The World belongs to me!

Description

A quiet buzzing can be heard, a signature start from Buzz & Hype. A quiet piano riff is played lightly to help introduce the song slowly to the listeners. A slow breath can be heard and then Cinzia’s raw vocals are lightly sung over the quiet Buzzing and the tune of the piano. As she reaches the fourth line of the verse a ‘wobbing’ can be heard and everything gets louder and more electronic as Cinzia Ricci repeats her self.
The squealing sounds of Dubstep come into play at once as the piano riff becomes distorted; Cinzia now belts out the first three lines of the ‘chorus’ . The power and purity in her voice is astounding, with so much electronic music around it, it still sounds so pure and natural. She sings the second half of the chorus over music which was repeated from the first half of the chorus.
The music gets quieter again now, and Cinzia takes her vocals back down to almost a whisper. She gradually increases the volume of her voice as the purer piano riff leads her through the verse/breakdown of the song. Again, as she repeats the words “To the Sky” the typical Dubstep ‘wobbing’ comes back into play.
Cinzia powers through the last chorus and in the background of the chorus, behind the typical Buzz & Hype Dubstep, the chords to the chorus of Cinzia Ricci’s own ‘Ride of a Lifetime’ can be faintly heard. As she sings the last line of the song the music all comes together and the song finishes to only the sounds of the quiet buzzing that introduced it.

Dem Man (ft. Foxxy)

Lyrics

Dem man fink I’m a one hit wonder,
You fink your sick blud, I’ll make you chunder
You fink you spit good fam, your bars are a blunder,
You make me mad and I’ll shit on you like thunder.
Dem man fink that ‘cause i’z a chick they better than me,
Well fink again blud, I’m as fly as a bee,
My bars are like bullets, my mouth is the gun,
Don’t wanna mess wiv me, I’m not just here for some fun,
Dem man got da balls, but I ent no pussy,
I’m ‘arder than a wall, so I ent no fluffy –
Bitch, I’m the one that you better put your money on,
‘cause if man don’t, den your gonna wonder where it’s gone,

Dem Man fink that they are harder me,
Dem man fink that I’m a pussy,
But what they don’t know,
Iz what a don’t show,

Dem man say i’m a tracksuit nigger, but fam i iz white,
Think you’re fan base is bigger? Don’t think you is right,
Think your bars will save you from the darkness tonight?
Fam I don’t think so, and that’s just being polite.
Dem Man gunna mess with the wrong blud,
Dem man gonna get caught in the mud,
Dem Man gonna get caught in the wrong fight,
Dem man gonna get punched with my high hype,

Dem Man fink that they are harder me,
Dem man fink that I’m a pussy,
But what they don’t know,
Iz what a don’t show,

Dem Man gonna mess wiv ma mandem fam.
Innit.

Description

The track starts with Foxxy clearing her throat and then a sharp clicking sound as if she has just clicked her neck in preparation to get spitting. She then starts the first verse as the beat kicks in. The beat is hard and fast, and makes for a good Drum and Bass influenced Grime tune; the influences of Foxxy’s style are ever audible in this first verse as she spits to the beat.
After the second third of the first verse has finished an almost echoing effect comes into play and highlights words like “Pussy”, giving the effect of multiple people saying it, emphasising it. The drum beat remains fast and hard while this goes on, as the bass-line gets steadily faster.
A light “wobbing” sound is introduced as the chorus comes around, showing a light Dubstep influence in the song; something Buzz & Hype like to add in when they can do. The drums get faster and harder over the chorus and the symbols are hit far more frequently.
The second verse is introduced and Lucifer comes in to emphasise the final few words of the first half of the verse; this highlights the frustration which is felt by many people. At this point in the song the bass-line has got to fever pitch and is really starting to give off more of the Dubstep vibe.
The final chorus is much the same as the first, but after it finishes everything goes silent except a few quite “wob” sounds, which are played over Foxxy speaking the final line.

Noah's Plague (ft. Eric Quillington)

Lyrics

One upon a time, lived a man called Noah,
He was called Noah,
Once upon a time, lived a man called Noah.
Noah was a man who had no problems,
He had no problems,
Noah was a man who had no problems.
He lived in a house, with his wife and his kids,
With his wife and his kids,
He lived in a house, with his wife and his kids.
His children were young, and full of life,
So was his wife,
His children were young, and full of life.

The nights are cold, the days are long,
This is the plague, this is our song.

A thousand men descended upon Noah's village,
Shields and swords,
A thousand men descended upon Noah's village.
They took everything, money and wine,
Shields and swords,
They took everything, money and wine.
Noah was away, he could not save them,
Shields and swords.
Noah was away, he could not save them.
His family was lost, into the darkness,
Shields and swords,
His family was lost, into the darkness.

The nights are cold, the days are long,
Give me strength, to carry on,
This is the plague, this is our song.

Noah's heart was ripped from his chest,
Nothing left,
Noah's heart was ripped from his chest.
He summoned the lord, to get his revenge,
Nothing left,
He summoned the lord, to get his revenge.
Noah's Plague swept the land, destroying all,
Nothing left,
Noah's Plague swept the land, destroying all.

The nights are cold, the days are long,
Give me strength, to carry on,
At the end of the tunnel, no light shone,
This is the plague, this is our song.

With nothing left, and on his own,
Noah took himself, to the world beyond,
To see his loved ones, to see his lost,
This is the Plague, and now it's gone

Description

The song goes straight into Eric Quillington’s startling vocals. The clarity in his voice is surprising considering he is on a Buzz & Hype track. He sings the first line slowly, with each different syllable highlighted perfectly over the soft sound of a piano – rather than a keyboard. The first verse is very slow, and over the course of the verse the music does start to very slowly build up. The addition of two tuneful guitars, both playing at slightly different pitches, helps to lead the final part of the verse into the chorus.
As soon as the verse stops, a very hip-hop orientated beat comes into play, and all of a sudden the song drops. Buzz & Hype’s influence in the song is suddenly very apparent as Eric’s vocals are now being performed over a sea of noise and sounds that could only have been produced by Buzz & Hype. The first chorus is very short and only 3 seconds after Eric has finished singing, the song calms back down to a very close state to what it was at as the first verse closed.
The second verse is now starting to be sung by Eric, and in the background a steady drum beat can be heard. This is to represent the ‘Thousand Men’ descending upon Noah’s village. The guitars are now starting to play more intricate and slightly faster paced tunes. The two different tunes are different; this helps to emphasise the confusion and distress going through Noah’s head as he remembers what happened to his family. A quiet scream can be heard in the background as the vocals for the second verse finish.
Now the song drops again. The chorus has an extra line in it now, this helps to show the progression in Noah’s thoughts and how he plans to move forwards. Musically, this chorus is just as crazy and loud as the previous one, just slightly longer.
The third full verse is a lot heavier and rockier than the previous two. The guitar sounds are harsher and slightly more distorted now. This is helping to show the anger that has been stewing in Noah. During the verse, Buzz & Hype have inserted the occasional ‘wob’ to help this verse flow more comfortably and to help keep the idea of the craziness and the loss of control that the character in the song has experienced.
The final chorus comes into play now and the pace of the music increases massively; although the focus is now turning towards the music rather than the vocals, Eric Quillington’s powerful and haunting voice keeps the listener just about intact with reality. The final chorus is again slightly longer than the previous two, but ends very abruptly. Now there is only a very quiet piano riff, played by Mr Quillington himself, which he sings a final verse over. The song ends and then a quiet sigh can be heard.

Fucked (ft. PostScript)

Lyrics

Sweaty Night Sweaty Night Oh
Sweaty Nights Oh oh
Sweaty Nights

Who let the dogs out?
If it was you, then give a shout!
Man is pretty fucked when the alcohols around,
Things get pretty crazy when the music sounds.
You girls don't have to be pretty,
Just as long as you're willing;
Things get pretty mad when we're alone,
By the end of the night girls on my bone.

I’ll give you some head shots,
You call out the best shot
Stroke your camera to the left.
Do me rampant like the rest;
Give me hell, give me sweat,
Give me hickey in the neck
In the corner of a city,
Oh no wonder we’re so skinny
I love us getting naughty,
I will call you paparazzi

Sweaty Night Sweaty Night Oh
Sweaty Nights Oh oh
Sweaty Nights

Push and pull,
Toss and turn,
Got a mouthful,
Now I burn,
Holding tight,
Kiss your neck,
Feeling right,
No need for a cheque.

I’ll give you some head shots,
You call out the best shot
Stroke your camera to the left.
Do me rampant like the rest;
Give me hell, give me sweat,
Give me hickey in the neck
In the corner of a city,
Oh no wonder we’re so skinny
I love us getting naughty,
I will call you paparazzi

Let's get fucked,
Let's get drunk,
Let's have a fuck,
Let's be the ones,
Fucked
Fucked
Fucked
Fucked

Sweaty Night Sweaty Night Oh
Sweaty Nights Oh oh
Sweaty Nights

Description

This song includes Stephanie Fierce’s sampled vocals from the song ‘Sweaty Nights’ from her album ‘Diary of a Pop Sinner’. It starts off with a banjo like sound playing and then Fierce’s voice is played over the top. The banjo sound then switches to a far more electronic sound; it eventually becomes a full on electric guitar sound. Stephanie’s voice is high and fast; the vocals have been sped up for this song.
The drums kick in as PostScript starts to rap the verse; his rapping isn’t amazingly quick, but his flow keeps to the rhythm and the beat of the song. This helps to make show off his vocals, as it is almost as if he is rapping and singing at the same time.
As PostScript finishes his verse, Stephanie Fierce’s vocals are played again. The bass gets faster and the drums harder. On the last word of every line, PostScript can be heard to be emphasising what Stephanie is saying; giving the idea that it is a real duet, rather than just a sample.
The music slows for PostScript’s next verse, it is slow, and there is a slow chiming on the symbols on the drums, then the drums speed right up again on the last line; leading back into the sampled chorus of ‘Sweaty Nights.
After the chorus, the song drops, and goes Dubstep. The noises of the bass make the song go crazy as PostScript speaks his last few lines, which leads into a final Stephanie Fierce pre-chorus. This pre-chorus section is ‘sang’ over no other music; and then the song stops.
