How it works.

One real day is one game week. Every night at 11:30pm UK time the charts are worked out, the sales are counted and the world moves on, whether you've played that day or not.

• Fifteen countries

  Each has its own audience and its own charts. You start at home and buy your way into the rest, one at a time.

• Twenty genres

  Each one sells differently in each country. For example, K-Pop does best in South Korea and country in the US, so your music will have success in some countries more than others.

• Promotion

  Music videos with directors, radio, billboards and PR firms, plus the odd tabloid scandal. Every campaign shows you what it got you. All publicity is good publicity... mostly.

• Rivalries

  Declare a rival and every night you go head to head on a best of three: records sold, chart position and popularity. Win a few in a row and the whole feed hears about it.

• A world that keeps moving

  Charts and sales update every night. There's a feed with hype and achievements, The Rundown of how your night went, and an email if someone knocks you off #1.

• Write, record, tour

  Write songs, hire the right producer for your genre, release singles, EPs and albums, and tour venues from sweaty back rooms to sold-out stadiums.
