"trickle down economics" would be a legendary album...if it was still 1983.the album contains enough leftist vitriol to justify the wackiest of fox news talking heads.released in conjunction with reagan's 100th anniversary,it attempts to bring down a giant of americana.needless to say,it fails on most levels.hell,it could barely be called a harlots album. "erica" clearly looks different and sounds....squeakier. bassist jen antonic has been quietly replaced with atomic war bride bassist, karoliena verlinden.karoliena's rock-a-billy bass sounds horribly out of place and gets lost in the guitar work of nina sangria.the album is crude, offensive and unconvincing. not only do the harlots usually sing about whatever pops into erica and nina's heads, they highlight this contrast by including "lawn darts:death from above".which is arguably the better album.though better in this case is like saying aids is better than the black plague.

r&r:good morning, and thanks for inviting me aboard the famed, duke of winchester.
erica:trust me,the pleasure is all your's.
nina:who whizzed in your cheerios love?
erica:i dont know.but when i find out *shakes fist*
r&r :the latest release from the harlots comes in the form of a double 12"
nina:i'd love to have just a single twel-
erica:*smacking nina on the nose with a rolled up newspaper*no,nina! sorry for that.continue.
r&r: why release both as a set? they dont have anything to do with each other.
erica:well we recorded "life begins at investment" and "escape to dildo island" back to back.it certainly puts a damper on serious subject matter when the song following it is about dildo island.
nina:*giggles* i cant believe it's a real place.when i finally get fed up with all this music malarky,i'm totally retiring to dildo island.
r&r: really?
erica:yup.it's off the coast of newfoundland.i think they use those newfoundland dogs to fetch the.....things,right out of the water.
nina:i always assumed dildos where mined instead of being an aquatic resource.
erica:a dildo mine?! dont be absurd, nina. they travel in schools in the icy atlantic ocean.
r&r:i think you both might be wrong...
erica:and i think nobody asked you. nina,i'm a bit parched.get us some beers.you want anything?
r&r:sure.i'm no commie.
nina returns with 3 glasses of dark ale.she winks at erica as she sits them down*
r&r:*after downing the beer* what inspired the....political leaning songs?
erica:*with a slight smirk* well we spend alot of time with bobby cario,he's always ranting and raving about politics of some sort.so we thought we'd give a go.plus i'm sick of reagan getting a free ride.look at all the shit going on in the usa today.it can all be traced back to him.deregulating wall st, supporting iraqi dictators, funding certain beardy guys named osama...really,the list is endless.
r&r:what right do you have to criticize america? arent you,and all the harlots dutch?
erica:i was until about 2001 or so.they said love it,or leave it.so i left it.
nina:i actually never lived in america.i'm english.i went to america once, and everyone thought i was a fuckin nanny or something because of my voice.
r&r: does anyone else feel.....vibraty?
nina:oh shit.did i leave that in the couch cushions again! *rummages in her purse* nope,it isnt mine. is it your's erica?
erica:ew.good lord no.i dont even own one....i use yours.
r&r:what would you say your favorite song from...."trickle down economics"?
erica: "life begins at investment."hands down how often do you get to yell "i want to feel those high yields all over my face" on stage? i tell you,not often enough. . the whole investment thing seems a lot like sex.you put a little something in,and hope to get a lot more out.sometime you get more than you pay for.be it std's or bankruptcy.the end result is the same.you smell bad and nobody likes you.
nina:mine is "18 to die,21 to drink".it's just a hell of alot of fun to play.
erica:the song we did with bobby and sue is great fun too.
nina:yeah.but i get the distinct feeling sue doesnt like us.
erica:she loves me.she'd probably like you too if you didnt keep trying to sit on bobby's lap.
nina:i cant help it,love.i like to cause trouble.
erica:come to think of it,"domination" was fun too.karoliena takes over vocals and it's mainly just her and the bass.it has a very deadbolt feel to it....only without the burly manny vocals.
nina:you dumb bitch,he asked about "trickle down economics". domination is on the other album. right,r&r guy?....right?
r&r interviewer is laying on the floor in a fetal position.his eyes dart around the room rapidly.
r&r:cant....speak.johnny yen will steal words.
erica:whew.i didnt think that acid would ever kick in.lets split.interviews suck.
nina:right, love. shuffleboard on the aft deck?
erica:think he'll be ok?
nina:i could care less.he looks like dr evil....and was clearly looking down your shirt.
erica:no he wasnt!
nina:yeah he was,love.though,i'm not sure why.i mean,seriously.
erica:dont you start.
