MONGOLBORD SURFINGTURD Newsletter 02

Hello and welcome to the latest Mongoldbord Surfingturd newsletter. We have enclosed our current catalogue, along with the three new releases that we'll be putting out in the next few months.

We've got a couple of Plague Techtonics reissues, as promised, including lost classic Void, a work of remarkable bleakness, even for Plague Techtonics. Turn out the lights, turn up the volume, then turn the lights back up again before you existentially soil yourself. Hornet is a great disc for parties, with its belt-sander power electronics and filthy electro-violence.

Last up is the long-awaited third Mana Gunray Serpentine album, featuring spoken word and instrument mutilation. It's kind of like what would happen if you gave a technical description of hip-hop to children who had never heard music before. It's also kind of nothing like that...

Get your ass to Mars,
Quentin Uderick Iain Phong

UPCOMING RELEASES

Plague Techtonics – Void (reissue)
(2xLP/CD)

1. Null (18:15)
2. Everything (10:37)
3. Void (16:02)

The reissue of Plague Techtonics' 1996 “lost” album, originally released on the now defunct Eel Portal label. Void was originally conceived as a companion EP to an unreleased LP before being expanded to a full release in its own right. It features some of the bleakest and darkest electronics ever committed to record, and is regarded amongst hardcore Plague fans as one of their most vital recordings.

Original and re-issue artworks by Aaron Ilvesky.

CD gatefold digipack with sleeve. Double LP, gatefold, on black cardstock, with unique additional ash painting inserts. Available in void black only.

Plague Techtonics – Hornet (reissue)
(2xLP/CD)

1. Hornet (8:10)
2. Death by Drill (2:08)
3. Garotted Finch (13:25)
4. Woe (41:02): Like a Hammer Crushing the Skull of a Child Forever (20:42)/Johnny Cash (20:20)

The reissue of Plague Techtonic's 1999 release Hornet, restored with the previously unavailable full length versions of Garoted Finch and Woe (here restored to almost twice its previous length). This is the definitive version of Hornet, perhaps Plague's most unrelenting and violent release.

Reissue art direction by Aaron Ilvesky, original art by Russ Martinelli.

CD gatefold digipack with sleeve. 2LP version gatefold on yellow cardstock. Available in hornet yellow only.

5. Old Lady Driver, Many Accidents Notably, Gone Largely Over Our Marigolds/Piss Oh So Slowly Parsimonious Harmonious Like the Garden of Bloody Milk Teats (7:15)
6. Ronald And Peter Eager/Rachel And Patricia Express Dismay (0:42)

The long awaited third statement of the MGS Institute, heavily utilising spoken word and all the incidental and environmental sounds necessary to express the core theme. There is a greater emphasis than ever on traditional instruments, though with highly unconventional playing techniques.

Artwork by Neil Gord. CD version in digipack. Special 2LP version to follow, standard black, along with limited runs of 500 in abandoned hospital green, 400 in sick Yoda green, and 100 in Inverness Crown Church back room green.

Thanks, I just copied and pasted it from the first one. Seems solid enough.

Renee: So many albums to choose from! It's insanity!

OOC: I gotta agree with Stephanie, these templates are awesome. I like the format of your RPs, it feels like a real website in a couple of ways.

Got more to come, including the actual new metal-themed Plague Techtonics record, a couple really special limited editions, and a label compilation celebrating 30 releases, featuring unreleased tracks, remixes and carious curiosities by most of the label's artists.
