Best Solo ArtistMichelle Green - Releasing just 3 singles, and 2 of them reaching number 1, and the other at number two makes Michelle look like one of the most successful females in the business right now. And not to mention, behind all the success is the amazing voice of Michelle that is very powerful and captivating. Brittany Knox - It is almost impossible to believe what Brittany Knox has gone through, and who she is now. First debuting in the summer of 2010, the media attacked Brittany Knox for her gimmicky and generic persona and music, that Brittany almost lost her career do to the media, but since then Brittany has gone through many changes including her look, and sound and it seems to be the jackpot because since then, Brittany has released a critically acclaimed E.P (Halfway There) and two very successful singles which were 'Truce'[Top 5 in over 10 countries #2 in the U.S and U.K] and Me Agaisnt The World [Which hit #1 on the Top 20, and in 3 other countries.] So much done in just one year!? Chloe - Chloe is known to swim into all different genre's and tackle everything she gets on. She introduced the Dancehall powertrack Cupids Twin [#3 on Top 20] two promo singles which were the rap enforced collab with Matty [#2 Top 20], and the soul/pop tune with Cristina Lake [#2 Top 20] and most recently the 2nd single off her debut album, the Symphonic Dance pop masterpiece W.T.F with Miss Vanity which hit [#1 on the Top 20 and a few other countries]. So much talent and one body and the right guidance meant nothing but success for the England born singer who is highly respected, in her early twenties, in the music industry and not to mention this was all done in a few months! Miss Vanity - W.T.F Best AlbumDifferent Elements (Of Chloe)[center] 1. AutobiographyThe album opens up with a track could Autobiography. It has a very strong R&B vibe to it along with the pop oriented chorus. Chloe explains in the song that listening to her album is her own personal biography. She also touches the playful belief that has always struck in the more urban part of music. She sings "They even said this white girl can't rap, now I'm standing with with the best, and I'm acin em, just like a test". The witty line came up as Chloe was writing the song remembering how she received high scores on test mirroring it to the success of her rapping. What stands out the most in this song is the quick paste rap-singing followed by Chloe's captivating voice devouring the hook.2. I Got SoulI Got Soul is the second track that comes on after Autobiography and shares some similarities to the opening track but holds some differences as well. I Got Soul deeps digger as it holds a very quick but soulful beat having Chloe sing the chorus about her demanding for respect when it comes to being a very soulful artist because "She Got Soul". Playful but serious, the part that stands out in the song is the very heavy jazz oriented trombone, bass and drum combo that rides from the bridge and comes back on with the ending chorus, riding the song to its ending. A very inspirational song in the end. 3.W.T.F (ft Miss Vanity)W.T.F is a track that would make a fan think, what the f*ck after looking at the title. It would seem odd to some that Miss Vanity is on a track with the very versatile and urban Chloe, but this song develops a sound that we didn't hear from Chloe. After Man Down's debut, fans heard a more urban/R&B and especially dancehall sound influence but with W.T.F we get a different sound. This song is a very symphonic pop song that seems to add on to the low amounts of this type of sound, starting with one of 2010's hugest single releases "Red Symphony" by Michelle Green. But this song doesn't include an indie root to it. W.T.F is the captivating expect of original, but poppy orchestral music topped off with a danceable base line and beat that would make a person really think "Is this an invented sound?". What is likeable about this song is that it can be taken seriously on a musical stand point while remaining playful and able to play in the countries hottest clubs.
Miss Vanity just adds on even more to the surprising sound, she brings on her powerful vocals and harmonizing belts adding on to quite the unorthodox-ed meaning of the song. Now, W.T.F was titled after what has happened in their song which can be taken very controversially. In the song the women sing about an online "relationship" with a female and a female posing as a man on the other end (Miss Vanity) they share a very strong love interest and decide to meet up, when they finally meet and Chloe feasts her eyes on a female instead of the male she was in love with and has to come up with a solution to this surprise, continue this date with this adoring and trustful female or leave her at the spot. One may make a controversial stink about the song and others might like the meaning behind it, but one thing we know for sure is, its different because its Chloe & of course, Miss Vanity.4. Dreams (Ft. Alicia Lena)Returning to a more R&B/Soul sound, Dreams is the first ballad to appear on the album. The song is very soulful and includes very light and inspirational vocals from R&B/Pop Princess Alicia Lena. The song is about believing in your dreams, and even though people constantly hold you back from chasing them, you keep moving forward to you achieve it. The breakdown into the bridge gives us a beautiful treat having Alicia's magnificent vocals and Chloe's powerful and witty pipes sing over other, note in, note out. Forcing a listen to rewind back to it, and listen again because its that special. 5. ButterflyButterfly is a med tempo pop song that has Chloe speaking in metaphors for most of the song speaking of her state of happiness at this very point. Only singing in the song, not rapping as well. She sings "I'm so high, I feel like a butterfly" along with other heart pulling lyrics that gives you the general feeling of happiness when listening to the song.6. Cupid's TwinCupids Twin was used as the albums lead single and proved as a success after charting in the Top 10 in the U.S and U.K and number 3 on the Top 20 chart. The song, known to many, is a small return of dancehall in music mixed with R&B and Pop sounds. Song gives you a very scary and jittery, nervous feeling, leaving you with a cliff hanger at the end. Cupids Twin, is written as a song about Cupids evil twin sister, who goes around breaking 5 men hearts badly, and not caring about it, sort of moving on to the next guy and repeating this routine to every man due to her looks and fooling words. In the end all 5 men band together and go after the heartbreaking Chloe, who is also Cupids evil twin. The song hits its climax when Cupids Twin expresses her nervousness to be out and has to flee town because their coming to get her. The song ends in a fading mist as the men finally find Chloe in hiding....what happens next? We may never know. Actually, if you purchase the deluxe version of the album (Cupids Hold (Pt Two)), a continuation is present.7. Tales From The Crazy Mouth (Ft Matty)After the anxious and upbeat feeling behind Cupids Twin, the next song that rides in starts out with an applauding audience with a comedic stand up man yelling the words "Welcome To Tales From The Crazy Mouth!" After that is over, the listeners are introduced with a very edgy and dramatic start of the song, so we are guessing that the song is talking about two artists who have "crazy" mouths and can't control what comes out of them, we were, correct. Here with the crazy mouths are top male rapper Matty and the even crazier Chloe really going "crazy" with their raps here. When you think of Chloe and Matty you think of a rap battle made in heaven and these artists are going back and forth heavily talking about people who have done things to them and the psychotic outcome that came out of it. We know a lot of the things they are speaking about are false but we can't help but to listen to the quick, outrageous and futuristic hip hop match that is similar to Nicki Minaj's Roman Revenge. In the track, we also get the first taste of an edgier Matty who we are used to making light and radio friendly hip hop music. This time he throws that away as he shows a different side of his persona along with Chloe. This can be considered another stand out track on the album because Chloe's rap skills upstage many rap artists in this song for the almost 5 minute edgy and futuristic song.8. I Believe In A Thing Called LoveThis track is a very soft R&B/Pop ballad that gives you a very soft and suttle feeling towards it. The song is about the belief in love and that your true love is out their somewhere and that Chloe is out to find who that very person is. The ending is beautiful, having Chloe sing her heart away in this "less is more" song. Having less of a chaotic beat but more natural and soft beat that leaves the listener feeling very warm hearted and eager to find that special one.9.Catch MeCatch Me takes a similar approach with the less if more type of music having a softer buildup and a thunderous chorus talking about how Chloe won't catch herself being caught up with another persons lies. She won't ever fall for a liar ever in her life and let's that belief out loud and clear as she sings you won't catch me over each chorus adding on quirky lyrics, this song is perfect for a sing along.10. Just My Heels and My Notepad (Nothing Else)This track is a alternative hip hop song that takes a slower approach, with a mid temp and Chloe sings laid back and deeper then usual talking about her weird way of writing music, with just her heels and notepad and nothing else. It is quite a weird practice but Chloe let's it all out when she talks about letting all her thoughts out, nakedly in her room penciling the hits that she makes. A funny song that shows just how Chloe really is (and weird)11. Keyboard OccasionKeyboard Occasion would be the next stand out track on the album. The song has leading keyboard work from (uncredited) European keyboard man Yuron. The song has a slow and deep beginning, as the keyboards come in, one by one, as Chloe sings about how she is a natural woman, how she relates with the keyboards naturalness and so calls the song, a keyboard occasion.12. The Life (Ft Jenny Hudson)The Life is a song that takes a more poprock/R&B mix up that sounds surprisingly well together. Jenny Hudson sings over the hook singing "The Life" as Chloe sings over her. The song talks about sitting down, taking a break from the rich life and just "living the life" relaxing and sitting back, enjoying a weekend, not to stress out the life and just live it to the fullest. The song is very badass and would make any person who listens to it on a friday night after a look week of work, wanna go out and live the life for the weekend. The song will make any person have a good feeling.13. Here I amHere I am, the last track, is a track where Chloe is leaving us off with a sweet and strong rap song, having a hook that can be compared to the original rap songs that was present many years ago. The song speaks about Chloe who is trying her hardest to solidify herself in music as a great figure, she's trying to make people chase there dreams, try their hardest, never give up and just live the life to their fullest potential. Another heavily inspirational song, letting us know that Chloe has the note to inspire other people with the album, and let's us off with something sweet.Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks14. He's Gonna CryA soul/pop/alternative song that speaks about two girls caught in a love triangle who band together to get the man back in the end (#2 - Top 20) 15. Cupid's Hold (Part 2)Continuation of Cupids Twin, this time the men capture Cupids evil twin and have her in a holding cell, the twin is begging for forgiveness and tries her lies and scams to get through to the men, but it doesn't seem to work, do they kill the twin? Only time will tell in this dance hall track. 16. That American ManA soft pop song that talks about Chloe meeting an American man and falling head over heels for him. 17. Bass DrumA sweet R&B rap and sing along song that tells the story of a man that makes Chloe's heart feel like a bass drum because he's so perfect for her. Great and loveable song that includes a bass and drum, similar to the second track on the album. In the end, Chloe clearly wants to prove to us listeners that she can swim into different genres and hold her own while performing it, whether its rap, R&B, Soul, Pop, Dancehall or Hip Hop, Chloe has showed her different elements and has managed to deliver us an album with many different genres incorporated into one, and made it work, now its only up to the listeners to tell what they think. January 15th... Best SingleRed Symphony - Michelle Green Following the mass success of her debut single and sophomore single's Fifteen, and Dark Days which each debuted respectively at #2 on the Top 20 Airplay Chart and #1 on the chart as well, this vocal powerhouse is back at it releasing her next single which is called Red Symphony off of her U.K platinum album - The Voice Of Me. Red Symphony is a song mixed in with the pure origins of Indie Pop and Folk Pop which includes an orchestra band singing along with Michelle. What we find most captivating about this song , once again, is Michelle's A plus vocals. Especially coming to the end of the song where Michelle belts out a 12 second, 5 octave vocal note! You can only listen to believe and this song has potential hit written all over it. The track is about being in a dream, an eternal dream that you, in the beginning, enjoy because its an escape from the real world, no worries, no stress, not a care in the world in this dream. Things change and this new world you find yourself in. Things begin to get very dark, scary and even satanic and this startles the girl in the dream. So throughout the song the girl is calling to be waken up, screaming for help and coming toward the end, the listeners are pretty much left off with a cliff hanger. The girl just belts "Will I be saved?" and the song cuts off. What we like about what the song is about, is that not every day do we get to hear a puzzling story on the radio and Michelle has done it. Only time will tell if the fans will love it for the story, love it for the pure musical aspect, or hate it because it doesn't sound like everything else Truce - Brittany Knox "My single is called Truce and its a mid temp Pop Rock, New Wave song that explains everyone should be forgiven and I'm calling a truce with the industry, my fans and myself for the wrong doings I have done. Its an inspirational but angry song at the same time and I love this song because its a very natural and real song that took me a while to right just because I was going off of personal events. I really like the new sound and hopefully everyone will too. It was produced by Danny Allen and was written by the both of us. It also has one of my all new touring members Tommy, working the guitar and an amazing electric guitar solo coming toward the end! - Brittany' W.T.F - Chloe ft.
