Everything was arranged as part of the “The Sun Will Rise” promotion plans that Shooting Star Records executives and the band’s managers have to make this forth album one of the most successful albums from ElectroDeath career. The room is large with a table on its edge near the door entrance, it is almost 13:00 PM and all journalists are sit on chair placed in from of the main table of the room, five places are waiting to be took three of them belong to the girls and two of them belong to the tour director Francis Lawrence and the band’s Manager Andre Gandra. 13:30 and through the door these five people enters the room, everyone who was already on the room started to get excited, as these five people sit on their respective places to start the conference in support of one of the most waited album of the year! The conference was split into parts, first the girls are going to explain every track on the album, as they are played for the journalist, so while revealing the album question are going to be straight to the songs, then the girls will be able to talk about the tour where questions will have to be straight about it, and finally the journalist are going to have 30 minutes to ask what they want for the girls no matter what it is. “The Sun Will Rise” – Press Conference (Track by Track) 1. Long Gone Queen Written by: Magie Lena, Lilly Stuart Produced by: ElectroDeath and RedOne Genre: Downtempo, Trip Hop, Ambient Lengh: 5:48 Recorded: March – May 2011 She put a crown over her head She took further a step She got scars… she was a superstar She survived all this crap With love she once was burned For believing… She tasted the fear but she has learnt She was not grieving She's a queen A so long gone queen The fall of the queen The death came so early The death came so early The rise of the queen The time cannot split The time cannot split Her acid tongue spoke the world Message of freedom Her voice was heard so faraway Her memories forever will stay Once she ruled the world Searching for a better word With poetry and love Sometimes sweet, sometimes strong The fall of the queen The death came so early The death came so early The rise of the queen The time cannot split The time cannot split Her legacy, for how long it lasting Nothing we’ll try Can be compared, to what she had Followers will step by Some will steal, some will feel The love she left All her Vanity, a non-named Lady Bet she don’t regret Even if she wasn’t dead… The fall of the queen The death came so early The death came so early The rise of the queen The time cannot split The time cannot split She's a queen A so long gone queen Song Description: The song starts with a downtempo melody, this introduction part gets strong with the additional sounds of dropped water in caves, and as it goes to the first strophe of the song the listener can hear a Trip Hop guitar riff, Magie sings the first strophe of the song which bears no drum sequence at all, and she sings in a breathy style almost like everything was about to quite in a second, that’s when the chorus starts and the three girls sing it together, the melodies now finally receive a drum sequence, but still in downtempo, while the ambient sounds of water and caves can be heard among the phrases of the song. The second strophe is sung by Lilly, the melodies from the chorus keep playing while Lilly lift her voice and sing with more strength then Magie. The second Chorus starts and the song receives a faster drum sequence plus some Britpop guitar Riffs and the ambient sounds are not featured anymore. The bridge and final strophe of the song are sung by Yulia while Magie and Lilly provides the backing vocals for it, the song melodies now are a bit accelerate as the drum sequence gets higher and the guitar riffs give the song a more rock ‘n roll feel also an organic percussion is mixed with the melodies giving the song a strong impact that was not given since its start. The final chorus starts with the same fast bridge melodies of the song, but without the organic percussion and the girls are singing together again the chorus, while the song reaches the end the girls slow down their vocals so the melodies too, till it comeback to the slow and calm melody of the introduction and the girls sing the last phrases of the song ending with the word “queen” with a echo effect. Questions: J: What are the lyrics about? Magie: They’re about us as artists, as queens or kings of a generation, we kind of rule our fans to make things we do, to wear things we wear, to say things we say, and sometimes we are no so well to be followed, sometimes we say bad things, we make bad things and some of this things will remain even if you overcome the situations you were been through, they are not gonna be forgotten. J: You say in the lyrics “All her Vanity, a non-named Lady” does it have any reference to Miss Vanity Death? Lilly: This question I can answer better, somehow it has. Magie had this song long time ago, while we were writing “Wrong!” (third album), but something on this song did not match with that album style, so we kind of leave this song behind, but back to nowadays, after we had worked with Miss Vanity, I started to think about that song again, and suddenly Miss Vanity died, and then we had the wish to write a song from her, we had written “WICCA” with the her and we were so sad that she died, that I took back this song and finished it, but I think the song is greater than that, if you really pay attention in its lines you can see a lot of artists on it, nowadays or even past artists, so I like o think that it is about us. J: what are the song melodies inspirations? The song was originally planned to be the second single of the album, also it was originally to be sung in a duet with Miss Vanity, but due to her death, the girls first said that the song would not be released anymore, but several months later the song was confirmed to appear on the album too, but without Vanity’s vocal, and also it was not released as a single. 2. Song Description: The song starts very slow with a growing electronic melody mixed with some wind ambient sounds, Yulia sings the first strophe of the song followed by these slow and angelical melodies till the chorus starts where she is join by Magie and Lilly and the song changed to a house electric melody with a up-tempo drum sequence mixed with some piano riffs, but everything sounds so mysterious, due to the ambient sounds the song bears, the second strophe of the song is sung by Lilly, with Magie on the backing vocals when the chorus starts again, the song melodies doesn’t change too much, the up-tempo fast drum sequence and the house electronic beats are still there. On its bridge the song goes to a new intonation, while Magie goes singing the last strophe, it all comes back to the regular sounding when the final chorus starts. The word “WICCA” is whispered although the song. This song ahs a hope spirit on it, compared to the first track of the album, it can be related to Miss Vanity’s last singles. Right before the chorus, Yulia sings three phrases and between them a auto-tune vocal effect of a baby laughing is hear, this gives the song the most fun spirit ever, probably is one of the most fun songs the girls ever wrote. The chorus is repeated twice, the first singing is under a growing melody, and the second one is in the already fast and formed electronic beat. The second strophe is sung by Lilly, and it’s exactly like the first strophe, once again before the chorus Yulia sings, and when the chorus starts the girls sing together just like they did before. The song enters it’s break moment where only the drums can be heard, Yulia sings the pre-chorus and before the last chorus starts there’s a brief moment where all the melodies are down, after it the chorus starts and the girls end the song. The lyrics are about having fun, like Yulia said before, letting go all the problems and bad feelings for at least one moment. Lilly: The only problem is that we didn’t have any other song to put this effect, so I showed them a chorus I had written that morning when I woke up, “To be free…” after it we wrote the entire song and produced and record it in a day.
