Description The song starts with an up beat jumpy tune, which helps to draw the listener into the song. A good introduction to the EP. Sammy’s voice is happy and makes the listener smile, but then the last line of the small verse comes around and Sammy’s voice drops to a far less happy note, and he does what he does so well, and shows the audience more feeling. This leads into the chorus, which is sung with such power that it could shock anybody who listened to his initial EP. This first song shows how much he had grown as an artist in just 4 months since releasing his first EP. The jumpy tune that started the song has faded into a more chord based, faster tune which mixes with his powerful vocals and supports them with ease. The music calms back down to a much softer state; and Sammy starts to sing a second verse. This verse is – as the music suggests – much calmer now and far more downbeat. The verse isn’t particularly strong lyrically, but it still shows the side of Sammy that we have all come to grips with; relationships don’t work for him. His chorus comes back around, and it is just as powerful as the first one. He sings with the power and control that we have come to expect from him now; for such a young singer Sammy is showing a lot more maturity than one would believe, being only 18 when this EP was released. The chorus finishes and Sammy repeats the words “A Trace” making a choir effect with a loop pedal. The “A Trace” keeps repeating as he now drops into a rapped verse. His flow is quick yet steady, and the pace of his guitar increases as he increases the pace of his rap. The rap stops and so does the music, then Sammy starts a final chorus, as soon as he starts singing again all of the music comes back in again and highlights his voice once again. The song fades out with his choir effect fading out into the distance.

It's all the small things, that make me love you more; Not only the big or tall things, about you I adore, 'cause I know that when I'm with you, My love is true, And I know that nobody else has ever felt this way, I want this moment to stay. I want this moment to stay. Description Sammy starts singing over no music, in the background a female voice can be heard making an ‘ooh’ sound. Her voice mixes with his beautifully, and allows a sort of chemistry to build up in the song. She sings the lines “That is Love” with Sammy to help emphasise it. As Sammy reaches the final quarter of the first verse he finally starts to pluck on his guitar and pick up a tidy rhythm. Now he leads into the chorus; the female backing vocals are still audible now, helping to create a nice harmony. The guitar playing has picked up pace, and a slight drum beat can be heard in the background. The beat helps to give the song a little bit more substance as well as helping to maintain the rhythm which has been picked up on. The song slows back down now and the guitars slow down too, but the drum beat remains there but only slightly quieter. The female vocals seem to have stopped except for the last word of every line is held slightly longer. The verse goes on without much else happening, and leads into a second chorus which is very similar to the first. The third verse comes around and Sammy breaks down into his signature rapping; the female voice is now making the ‘ooh’ sounds again, like in the first verse. The guitars are faster again now, in order to help match the pace of Sammy’s rapping, and the drum beat has become slightly more hip-hop to help resemble the change in style. Sammy finishes his final verse, and then both his voice and the female voice combine again to sing the final line, “I want this moment to stay.”

Description A fast tune is plucked on an acoustic guitar; it includes a variety of notes which allow this listener to get a feel for what Sammy Griffin is all about very early into his first song. The tune repeats itself, but this time there is the occasional strum which could not have been played at the same time; this suggests the use of a loop pedal. The small tune and strums come around again, but this time Sammy lightly beat boxes to give the song a slight beat to it as well. The backing music goes quiet and then Sammy starts to sing the first chorus. As he reaches the final repetition of “Bad Blood” the looped music comes back into play. Now Sammy starts to rap the first verse. This is an unexpected twist on what many people would have believed to be purely a singing acoustic artist, but he shows his versatility now by pulling off a quickly rapped, tight verse. Now the song goes into a double chorus, which still has the backing music behind it, but Sammy is also playing the tune on his guitar an octave above what he already did to give it a slightly different sound. The double chorus comes to a close and the backing music stops, leaving Sammy playing his guitar to himself. He now starts to sing a four line verse, which is sung with the utmost delicacy. He holds the last note and then drops straight into the next verse. The last verse is again rapped like the first one, but his flow is tighter than before. The backing music that Sammy created at the start of the song is back again now and supports his vocals very well. The backing music stops, and Sammy is left playing his guitar again as he reaches the penultimate line. Then he also stops playing to rap the last line of the song over nothing. He finishes and then gives one final strum.

Description A soft guitar riff is played as Sammy starts to sing. His voice is airy and light, as if he has no problems in the world. But the introductory verse ends and then a light drum beat kicks in. The first chorus comes about and Sammy turns up the power in his voice. He belts out the chorus almost as if the song was a ballad; the pace of his guitar increases as the first actual verse starts. Sammy’s voice is now more ‘real’; he has a much more pop sounding feel to this verse. One guitar is playing a plucking tune, while another is playing three chords over; this helps to support Sammy’s voice more than before and leads him into another powerfully sung chorus. The second verse is much the same as the first, and leads into a pre-chorus where the drums start to speed up to help signal the arrival of the chorus, and also to help build up to it. This final chorus is a double chorus; the guitars are faster as Sammy powerful sings through his final chorus. The last line of the song finishes and a symbol crashes.

Then he plays a simple tune on the guitar, which gradually increases in pace as the verse approaches. Sammy sings the verse in quite a high pitch, and then it lowers as he reaches the chorus. The guitar continues to get progressively faster as the chorus approaches. Sammy sings through a brief pre-chorus before the actual chorus arrives; and it is only Sammy and the guitar, with a very quite drum beat beneath it. Then the second verse comes around, it is almost exactly the same lyrically, with only a few changes – but the pace of the guitar is a lot faster, and there is now a drum beat which can be heard for more audibly than before. The song now goes through the pre-chorus, then the chorus and finally ends on another pre-chorus. It ends on a final strum with Sammy’s vocals echoing out into the silence.

This is then repeated as a whooping sound is heard. The three chords and the whooping sound loop as Sammy plays a quick rhythm. This rhythm then joins in with the loop as Sammy starts to beat-box. Now that the music has been built up enough, it stops and a slowly plucked tune is played while Sammy sings the first verse. As the verse comes to a close, the music which was built up before the vocals kicked in and Sammy sings the chorus. After the chorus an actual drum beat kicks in and Sammy raps the verse over the drum beat and his slowly plucked tune, which is now being plucked slightly more quickly, in order to keep up with his softly rapped vocals. The verse finishes and then Sammy’s self-created music comes into action again as he sings the final chorus. There is a harmony on the final line, which gives the effect of two people saying that they love each other.
