Scott kisses her.

Scott: Dont worry babe. Its fine.

Scott rubs her arm a little

Scott: What's wrong?

Scott puts his arms around her.

Scott: Dont worry about them Gi...its our day. Its all about us.

Scott kisses her again

Scott: I guess I'll see you up there tomorrow then baby. I love you.

Scott smiles and then picks up Sophie.

Scott: Well thats it Soph. Next time daddy sees mommy itll be to make our little family official.

Scott puts Sophie back in her crib and turns on the TV, sighing as he lies down

A key turns in the lock and it opens slowly. Scott walks into the room, still wearing his suit from the wedding. It looks disheveled, and he doesn't have his tie on anymore. His eyes are red and puffy, and he has clearly been crying a lot. He sits in a chair in the corner and breathes deeply as he tries not to cry again, staring at the floor.

Sitting there on the chair, Scott suddenly found himself without a clue what to do. They had been married less than 24 hours when an argument had led to her telling him to get out. And what had he done? He had gone to Twitter to arrange to sleep with someone. The very thought of it made him feel sick. He had stood there yesterday and promised this girl that he would do anything for her, and then he had done that over a stupid little argument. He loved Gia more than anything, and the more he thought about it the more terrible he felt. After a few minutes of silence, and still unsure of what he would say, he tried to open his mouth to speak, but all that came out was tears and a quiet sobbing.

Scott sat with his head in his hands, not even bothering to wipe away the tears as they fell to the carpet from his sobbing. He couldn't focus on anything through his hazy eyes and just sat looking down. How could this have happened. After all their arguments before the wedding, and when they were dating, and it took something stupid to force them apart after they had been married. After a while, he heard Gia sniff a little, and he thought she must be crying. All he could think was I did this to her. I made her sad. After all his promises yesterday, this hit him worse than anything, the fact that he had made his beautiful new wife sad. He tried to compose himself as he looked up to see her looking at him. He wiped away the tears as more fell, and he looked at her with one hand over his mouth.

Scott sighed and started crying again. Even hearing her ask that was like a knife to his heart. It was all his fault. How had he let this get to the stage where his wife thought he had cheated on her? He could hear the sadness in her voice, he could hear a tone that sounded as if she believed it was true already. He tried to fight the tears back, because he knew he wanted to sort this out. But he couldn't stop himself from crying. He took a deep breath and tried to speak, and yet the words would not come. He looked down again and shook his head slowly.
