Scott walks to the harbour and sits down at the end of the pier. He takes his phone out and goes to text Gia. He starts typing.
"This isn't-"
He stops and deletes the message, not sending it, and lies down on the pier looking up at the clouds. |

Gia stops at a shop and gets herself a fruit smoothie. She sighs as she sits at a table as a guy comes and sits in front of her.
"Hello."
Gia looks at him.
"Uhh...hi."
"You look sad, what's wrong?"
She takes a sip of her smoothie.
"I'm married. I mean that's not whats wrong, nothing is wrong but I'm married, see."
She shows him her ring and he grins.
"Congratulations but what's wrong?"
"Life. It's just he's always thinking something's wrong with me and we end up walking out on each other all the time and I have no clue why I'm telling you all of this.."

Lying on the pier Scott sees a shadow block out the sun. He looks up to see an old man standing over him.
"You alright man?"
Scott nods
"I'm cool man, yeah."
"You here to do some fishin'?"
Scott sits up and the old man hands him a rod. He casts it out and dangles his legs over the edge of the pier.
"So," the old man starts, "You wanna tell me what's up?"
"I'm just...I'm supposed to be on my honeymoon dude. But the wife and I have barely spoken a word to each other without fighting since we got here."
"Ah..."
They sit in silence and fish for a while. |
