LIVE tonight at The Rivoli in Toronto Canada, Canadian songstress Anna Villiot performs all 5 songs of her new EP titled 'One Disaster Less'. There will be support from local acts 'Jamie Johnston' and 'Be Cool, Skip School'. Anna will hang around after the show for a chat and to sign all copies purchased at the show. Anna previously released her debut EP 'Two Minus One' last year and is now back with new music for us.

There must be close to 200 people packed into this room tonight to witness local talent Anna Villiot release her new EP 'One Disaster Less' along with support from JJ (Jamie Johnston) and Be Cool, Skip School.
Both have already been on and warmed the stage up for a good hour between them, getting the kids pumped up with some undoubtedly catchy pop tunes. But thats not who were here for tonight. Young Anna Villiot will take to the stage performing 3 previously unheard songs along with a cover of Cash Cash's Obsessed, all of which are on the EP, available to purchase at the show tonight.
Anna is backstage getting ready for the biggest show of her life, she has come a long way from the shy girl standing still playing an acoustic guitar on stage singing covers to her favorite artists. Anna usually has an unorthodox and rather ambient lyrical style, with her previous EP being a concept. However she has confirmed that this one will not follow that route.
Its almost time. In fact, it is. Time for Anna Villiot!

Anna walks out onto the stage as she plugs in her equipment. She presses a few keys on the keyboard for a, very short sound check which gives her the green light.
"How are you all tonight!?" she receives a chorus of screams.
"Good, good. Don't you all think they were brilliant?" referring to the 2 previous acts, when she is met with yet more screams.
She finally gets everything set up and ready, she looks to the side of the stage and nods to the lightening man - who also happens to be the owner, the sound tech and the producer - to which she receives the same greeting.
"Alright, I hope your all ready for this. This first song is called Abstract View" the lights dim down along with the cheers as minor keys are heard playing alone before Anna's voice appears angelic and whisper-like.

Anna finishes up the first song with a long note to which the crowd meet with a huge applause. Abstract View sounded like a song that could of been on her previous EP, with it sounding very ambient and electronic, with cryptic and well abstract lyrics which refer to digging for your inner soul.
Anna smiles at her following who have appeared tonight waving their hands at her.
"Thank you, very much."
"Im so happy to be here right now, and so thankful for the opportunity ive been given to express myself through music. I wouldn't be on this stage right now if it weren't for you guys, without you, id have given up a long time ago." she talks to the crowd as she tunes her key-tar.
"This next one is called Last Thing. And its one we can all relate too."

Last Thing showed us some of the new side to her that she told us, with an electronic ballad which had everyone in the crowds attention as she powered out all those notes with an extremely catchy chorus.
"Thank you" she repeats to the crowd following loud screams and cheers.
She wastes no time and gets straight to the next song.
"This is Time Means Nothing" she informs us as she starts playing the intro,

Another ballad-esque song debuted by Anna. Her previous EP was much more up tempo and she is certainly displaying her talents and reiterating to us that she is not a one trick pony. Anna is singing about a broken relationship - who would break up with her!? The EP is going down a treat though, as the room looks even more compact and full than it was at the start, which I didn't even know was possible!
"Thank you all so much, your amazing!" she gets the crowd going.
"My EP 'One Less Disaster' can be purchased at the end of the show at the merch stand. Ill also sign copies off it if you like" the cute Canadian gives another sweet gesture.
"You all have been amazing tonight. Im sorry that its been so short but I hope to see you all again very soon! Enjoy the rest of your night!" she finishes up talking before starting to lay down some bass on the intro to her final song of the night, a cover of the electro-fueled Obsessed by Cash Cash which gives her another unexpected twist, lyrically.

Anna rounds up the night in a great manor with the upbeat and sex-fueled lyrics of Obsessed. We always knew she had a darker side! She rounds the night off by bowing at the edge of the stage.
"Thank you, I love you all and I hope you had a good night." she walks off the tiny stage.
So there we have it. Anna Villiot's new 4-track EP is fresh and ready to hopefully kick her to stardom, although I don't really think that is bothering her. I don't think she'd mind if she was restricted to small clubs and shows the rest of her career as long as she ot to play music.
