Gia lays on a little table like object with her shirt back a little and a nurse has an object on Gia's stomach which makes her shiver a little because of the cold gel she used. Today she was having an ultrasound to see if they could determine the baby's sex yet and to make sure everything was alright. Gia looked at the screen as the nurse was talking.
"Alright so there's only one fetus in there, looks normal. There's the hands right there....and there's the little foot." She smiles. "There's the head, right by his hand there."
Gia smiles. "Aww...it looks like an alien...awww." |

The nurse keeps looking at the screen. "Now it's still too early to be certain but...judging so far I'm not seeing any signs of male characteristics, but they might not have fully developed yet. If I had to guess right now, I'd say you're probably having a girl. We'll know for sure at your next check up though. Do you guys wanna hear the heartbeat?"
Gia nods and keeps staring at the screen with amazement. She couldn't believe she was looking at their own baby through that tiny screen. The nurse moves the object on her stomach and then messes with some buttons. As soon as she does that, a small little thumping sound is heard in the room; the baby's heartbeat.
"Good, strong heartbeat. She seems healthy." |

The nurse wipes the gel off her belly and then turns the lights back on.
"Alrighty, all done. I'll go get your copies of the ultrasound now."
She walks out and Gia pulls her shirt down and sits up. "Aww....she's so tiny. And her little heartbeat was amazing." |
