Scott feels a little twinge of jealousy at this and tries to bury it straight away.
"Oh...right. I do care Gia. If I didn't care how you get on, I wouldn't ask."
He sits for a little minute but can't help himself in the end, shuffling uneasily in his seat. He takes a sharp breath.

Gia looks at Sophie then him again. "He's my secret affair that I've been keeping from you for months now....he's just a new guy at work, that's all. If you must know, we went out for a little snack last night and then I came home. He's nice and sweet but he's not hitting on me and I'm not hitting on him.."
She smiles and gives him a kiss.

Scott feels his stomach sink a little when she mentions going out for a snack. He always the jealous type, and his own extra-curricular activities were not helping to quell his fears and paranoia at this time. He tried to look as if he was nonchalant.
"Ah..I see. Nice. So like doesn't try to flirt or anything."
He looks down at the table and then back up just as she kisses him.
"Sorry...yeah, I know Gi."
He scratches the back of his neck, looking nervous. |

Scott leans in and lets Gia hug hi, but without putting his arms around her. He sighs quietly.
"I know. And I love you too."
He rubs his face.
"What's the guy like? I'm sorry, but you know I get jealous. I always have done. I just love you that much." |

Gia notices he didn't hug her back but she decided to shrug it off.
"He's nice and a gentlemen. He's all about work and he's new here so he's just a nice, hardworking guy."
She wonders about his favorite artist now on his label, Arianna. She had always gotten under her skin and since he was asking questions she decided to do the same.

Scot nods a little. He sighs, but decides not to push the thing about her workmate any further and just shrugs.
He jumps a little when she mentions Arianna, and tries to keep from looking surprised.
"You mean Hey Lolita?" he asks, trying to look unfazed by the question. "Yeah..I like them I guess. They are nice people. I haven't really spoken to her a lot though. Maybe just once or twice.."
He tries to make eye contact with Gia to keep from looking suspicious. |

She crosses her legs and gently rocks Sophie back and forth as she starts to fall asleep. It wasn't as if she didn't trust Scott but she didn't trust Arianna and whenever he talked about her or to her he seemed to become a different person, real into her. She of course was a tad jealous but she didn't want to come off like it bothered her. |

Scott clears his throat and slouches back in hos seat a little, aware that Gia was staring at him. He tried to still look casual.
"When did I call her beautiful?"
He looks confused.
"And why do you think I only like her and not Jared? They are a band after all. I can't even remember saying she was my favourite..."
He looks out of the window, and then at Sophie. |
