Scott had just started to get back into the movie when his mind drifted to his family, or what used to be his family. He felt sad that what he had done had led them to this. He heard Gia vacuum downstairs, and he sighed. He had agreed to move back into the house so that Sophie always had him around, but the house had felt so empty.over the last few days. Even when Gia was here, he still just stayed in this new room, trying to keep his distance and cause the least amount of upset.
Just then, he heard his door creak and then heard Gia speak. He looked around and saw her. "Hi," he said. "Something up?"

Scott looked over again when he heard the door click closed, thinking Gia was gone. He was shocked to see her still standing there. He was even more confused though by her words. Technically she was right, they were still a married couple, but as far as Scott knew, his cheating had put paid to any hope of them having a relationship that was anything more than being two separate parents to the kids. He shifted a little and looked over at her, turning the volume on his TV down.
"What is it you want to talk about?" he enquired.

He narrowed his eyes a little. He was confused as to what they would talk about. Hadn't everything been said when they had argued? He rubbed his stubble a little and then slowly nodded. He looked over at her. "Sure I mean yeah I guess I owe you that much." He turned off the TV and looked at her, waiting for Gia to speak again.

Scott breathed in as she asked the one question that he had been terrified that she'd ask. He sat up against the wall, and then scratched his nose. "No...it wasn't that. You were brilliant. We had our shit and stuff to deal with, but you were a wonderful wife." He sighed. "I guess I was greedy. I had something offered to me on a plate, and I just didn't resist it, even when I know I should have."

It was killing Scott to hear Gia talk like that. He wasn't sure if she was just doing it to make him feel worse or if she genuinely felt like that. "Yeah. Just greed. She was there, and I was there, and I just...I just thought I wouldn't get caught, so I just did it. I know it was wrong." He shook his head. "I already said, you were a wonderful wife. Maybe you just got unlucky with who you married." He thought for a second, but there was no point lying to her. "Yeah....yeah she is gorgeous, I know," he said. "But that doesn't mean you aren't as well. You shouldn't put yourself down like that." He shook his head. "Why would I? It was never my intention to leave you."

Scott saw Gia's head bow a little lower when he stopped talking, and he knew it was because he had just called Arianna gorgeous. He didn't know if it would be better to have denied it or not, but he had decided that telling Gia the truth was the best way to go in all of this. She deserved to hear the truth from him. He watched as she fiddled with the sheets a little, and he could sense that she wanted to speak. "Is there something you wanna ask Gia?"

Scott shook his head a little. If there was one thing in his life that he knew really well, it was Gia, and he was well aware that she wanted to ask him something. He sat up again, and continued to look at her, as if to give her another chance to speak. He saw how sad she looked just then, and he felt awful. This was what he had done. He had ruined a marriage and caused two kids to grow up products of a broken home. He kept looking at her though. "My weekend isn't what you wanna know about is it Gia? What did you want to ask?"

Scott sighed. He knew that there was something she wanted to get off her chest, but she was just holding it in. Blocking him out. Of course, that was no less than he deserved. He had done something so awful to her, and if it took her blocking him out to make her feel better, then he guessed that was the best thing for her to do. All the same, he didnt want her to be bottling it up, and he just moved a little closer. "Please. What is it Gia?"

Scott shakes his head gently as he looks at her. "I won't Gia. I promise. What was it?"

Scott is shocked to hear Gia ask this. But he knew the answer. "Of course I still love you. We were together for almost a year. That doesn't go away this fast."
