When Scott felt Gia's hands on his shoulders pushing him away, he opened his eyes to see her turn her head away from him. The feeling of rejection he got just then was awful, and he felt the pit of his stomach sink. He sighed a little, not managing to hear what she said. All he wanted to do, just like this morning, was to hold her and press his lips to hers again. It had been too long. But she obviously didn't want it now. He stood up, looking dejected and walked into the hall. "I'm sorry," he said as he reached the door. "I just wanted to kiss you. I guess I was wrong..." |

Scott is in the hall now and doesn't hear Gia. He thought that it was all he deserved. Gia was obviously rejecting him because of earlier today. And she was right to, he told himself. He sighed and wiped a tear from his eye. |
