When Scott watched Gia go to the shower, he went through to Sophies room and sat next to the crib. He looked down at her peacefully sleeping away and smiled. If had hurt him to hear Gia talk like she did. The two of them had given Sophie everything since her first day on earth, a safe place to live, food, warmth, care, and most importantly, all the love they could. Sophie might have been adopted, but the two treated her like their own and loved her like she was their biological child. She was Scotts little princess. So to hear Gia speak so negatively about the future hurt him. He didn't want to hear about a future without Sophie. She was their little girl, and it would kill him if she went away. In truth it scared him too, but he pushed that fear down deep. He had to.
After a while, Scott got up and left the room. He started to head to the space room but then stopped. "No," he thought. "My wife needs me. This is the new Scott. A good husband. A caring husband. A useful husband."
He went back into their room and stripped down to his boxers before climbing in beside Gia. He shuffled close to her and held her hand in his. He wasn't sure if she was awake so he whispered. "Don't worry Gia babe. It will all be OK honey. I promise." He kissed the top of her head and put his arms around her.

Scott comes out of the studio door. Although the band had finished for the day a while back, he had stayed for a little while on his own to work through the looping on new track Scream Through The Rain. It was proving to be the most tricky part of the project, since he had never worked with a looping pedal before. He was quite pleased with how it was going though, and as he closed the door of the studio, wearing a pair of sweatpants and a white vest with his fedora hat, he lifted his phone, waiting for an answer.
"Mark? Dude I got it. It sounds ace on the intro now. It's like do-do-do-do-do-do, and then that wail of the guitar comes in. It sounds freaking brilliant man." He smiles as he lifts his hat and scratches his head before placing it back down again. "Yeah. I think it's working so far. I was going to email you the track but you'll be i early tomorrow so it can wait." He chuckles. "Alright man, bye."
Scott hangs up the phone and comes downstairs looking for Gia. He checks the kitchen and the living room before heading back upstairs and walking towards her office. As he gets closer, Scott hears Gia talking on her phone. He smiles and walks into the office. He waits for her to stop talking before walking up and putting his arms around her from behind. He pretends to bite her neck like a vampire and laughs, kissing her cheek.
"Hey beautiful girl. What's going on?"

Scott smiles and tilts her head back a little so he can give her a kiss on the lips. "Oh really? And what's this new project you have going on then? Or am I not allowed to know?" he laughs and then kisses her neck before standing up. "Yeah it's going ok. I was just trying to get a grip on this bloody pedal. The looping is fine now, but it took me a while to make it sound as bouncy as I wanted to." He smiles.

Scott nods, looking impressed. "Fucking hell. It's all go for Studio 60 then huh?" He laughs. "I don't suppose you have a part in there for the sexiest man in the world do you?" he sticks his tongue out. He nods and strokes his chin a little. "This new artist isn't good enough for your own label then?" He chuckles. "I'm kidding abe. If you think she's good enough then I'll imagine we will sign her, but yeah, I'll give it a listen." He smiles. "Send Stinson a copy too if you could." Scott watches her sit on the desk and goes over to put his hands on her hips. "I know. I'm just so happy to be back in there and working again. I love it. So much." He kisses her. "I'm sure you'll like us better this time too. We are sounding so totally different."

Scott smiles and chuckles at Gia. "I don't think anyone can debate now who the biggest label is. I almost wish my label was part of yours you know? That would be awesome. "Rose Hilton Media." He smiles at her. "Pfffft well be like that then Gi. I'll keep my amazing acting skills buried then babe." He laughs. "So who else is in it? Anyone I know of at all?" He smiles at her.
Scot chuckles. "I'm kidding babe. Anyone who you say is good enough for my label must be baby. I know you are one of the top talent scouts out there." He smiles. "I'll give it a listen tonight." Scott shrugs. "He isn't a father yet. He's taking on the top job for now until I go back so technically it's his call....even if it's my decision anyway at the end." He laughs.
Scott smiles and wraps his arms around her waist. "I am happy baby. Very happy." He kisses her neck and smiles. "I can't wait to let you hear it." He smiles. "You think the girls will like hearing me sing?"

Scott nods. "Well yeah. You always have the hipsters who think that they'll ignore you guys because you are quite mainstream. Then you have guys like Stinson who are just naturally fiercely competitive and always want to be the biggest."He smiles and chuckles. "I know, maybe someday when you wipe us away totally you can have some sympathy and buy us out. I really think we should start some sort of business together though babe. It would be so awesome to work with you." He nods a little again. "Cool so no one else I know then except BC Style and Izzy? Is it a teen movie? Sounds like you got a good cast for that sorta thing." He smiles and kisses her.
He nods again. "He is yeah, but ever since Chantal got pregnant and I gave him a more important job, Stinson changed. I never saw a guy so motivated and focused. It's all been good for him. Who is this amazing girl anyway? What's her name?"
He chuckles and kisses Gia again. "Well you can all have a first listen to it together. It'll be good to see if you all like it. I haven't decided how to release it yet. Like through what label."

Scott chuckles "I know I know Gi babe. But everyone in this industry is so uber cool that being mainstream is like some sort of travesty." He chuckles. "But at the end of the day, all you have to look at is the success you have to see you're in the right." He laughs and shakes his head. "NO. Not at all. I love all the time I have with you, and I would love to work with you in some sort of family business too." He nods a little. "Ah....I see....I might not watch it after all then," he shrugs. "Yeah I know. He was like an overnight transition from some total douche that well...you know what he was doing back a few months, but now he's totally different and like...a family man almost." He smiles. "I don't think any of them particularly like me either. Don't worry about it."
He nods again. "Cool well she sounds promising. I'm sure she's brilliant." He shrugs. "I don't like realeasing on my own label. I'll have a look around."

Scott shrugs. "I don't know. I just figure that we are two of the best business people around, and as a team we could probably own whatever we turn our hand to. Nah, it wouldnt be too bad. PLus, we'd have something to pass down to our two girls so they have security later in their life." He smiles. "If Cassie's in it...is it a horror? She could be the wicked bitch of the East." He chuckles. Scott shrugs. "He probably will now. I mean when he has his kid he'll want to be a good dad."
"My label? Yeah but I don't really need more money." He laughs. "Thanks, I might do that."

Scott shrugs and then laughs. "Hmmmmmm....I dunno. Any ideas at all?" He sticks his tongue out at her then kisses her. "I'm sorry baby. I know you like her but she is just not ever going to be my favourite person." He smiles at her. "I'll come to the premiere with you then, I promise. But you'll owe me..." he sticks his tongue out again at her. Scott then shrugs. "I suppose. I mean he hasn't cheated for a while now. I guess he knows that he has to appreciate what he has." Scott wraps his arms around her again. "I dunno. It depends if my beautiful wife is going to be busy or if she's finished work too."

Scott thinks for a minute and nods. "You mean like something like a music school or something maybe? Like have teachers so they can learn stuff about music there?" He strokes his chin and looks at her. "Yeah they'll both always have financial security. It's something I'm very proud that we can give them babe. But I don't want them to be spoiled. They have to be able to feel that they are earning the money they get from us you know? Neither of us have ever slacked on working." Scott smiles. "If they don't want to then they don't have to, but they have to work somewhere." Scott chuckles. "Good. I know I will have a smile on my face. Especially if you do what you know I love babe." He chuckles and kisses her. Scott nods "I'm done for the day chica. Seen enough looping keyboards for the day. What do you want to do?"
