As Cassie stood there, she heard Gia walk closer and closer to the door. Suddenly it felt again like the first time she had been here, when she was sure Gia would hit her. When the door opened, she felt nervous. "Hi," she said softly, before walking inside. "Yeah its so freezing out there," she said, taking her jacket off and shivering a little as she stood there.

Cassie was still confused. She walked into the living room alongside Gia with Jody in her arms. As she reached the living room, she sat down on one of the chairs and waited for Gia to speak.

"Don't you like me?" She blurted out when Gia stopped talking . It was very too the point and abrupt, but she was terrified of losing her friend and if that had to be the case then she would rather get it done quickly. She sat there, praying for it not to be true.

Cassie nods a little . The mention of the words best friends seems to make her feel a little better, and she manages to look up at Gia, smiling at her a little.

"I am glad you said that. If just feels sometimes like since I had the babies like you were mad at me or something. I could never really work it out, and so I thought maybe I had annoyed you. Then when we argued last night I thought you didn't want to be my friend."

She sighs sadly.

Cassie nodded and bowed her head. It almost felt like Gia was giving her in trouble for something but she didn't know what. She wiped her hair back from her face and sighed a little. She looked up at Gia and nodded again. "I know Gia. I know. I appreciate everything that you've done for me, and I love you like a sister. I was just so afraid when you were like having a go at me for talking about Katie, that you were mad at me or something. The way you said it made you seem angry. I don't know, I was just afraid. You're the only real friend I have, as lame as that sounds, and if you didn't want me anymore then I'd be totally lost and sad."

She tries a little smile.

She nodded slowly and then smiled. "Thanks Gia and I'm sorry. I just need to know that I have someone behind me who believes in me. Its so hard to not have anyone like I did before you came along. I'm sorry though. Thoughts of Katie just infuriate me cos of what she did. And then it seemed like you were choosing her over me. I didnt mean to get mad."
She looks down and puts Jody on the floor. "Part of it is to get back at them all. I don't really want to have sex with her....but its like...I don't know...revenge." she sighs.

Cassie nods and thinks for a while. "I know you guys are friends. It was just...I still feel upset about what she did to me you know? What do you mean she's been through a lot?" Cassie looks across at her. "I'm calm now Gi don't worry. I managed to think a lot last night." She laughs a little. "Yeah,...I guess I'm the queen of shooting myself in the foot aren't I?"

Cassie nods a little and thinks for a few minutes in silence. It was true that Katie was always on her mind. She just had this way with people that made everyone love her. All you had to do was ask any of Katie's exes, they would all say the same; it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to get her out of your head. She looked up at Gia again after a while, trying not to sound too sad. "You know them both...is she...you know, really happy with Hayden?" she asks, waiting for an answer from Gia.
Cassie chuckles a little. "You know me..I'm too reactionary. I do things without thinking Gia. But you're right. It would be awful to sleep with Suzie. That would be so wrong." She nods. "I know what you mean. But it's not like I'm trying to settle down. You know what it's like when you have someone GiGi. You know when you come home from a really bad day and you find Scott and you just curl up with him and hug and kiss....sometimes I just need that. I'm not looking for love, or a new husband; I don't think I'll ever let someone have all of me again like I did with Jason and Katie, I just sometimes feel like I need someone for just a short time to hold me. You know I love my kids GiGi. They're everything to me, and I would never put them second to anything."
She looks down and picks up Jody. Jody laughs and smiles at her. "Mommy!" She shouts. Cassie kisses her on the head. "Mommy loves you baby." She hugs her.

Cassie nods. "It's been a little hard to forget her." She sighs and her bottom lip trembles a little. "You don't know what she's like GiGi. She's so attentive and perfect to be in a relationship with...and then it all just ended. It's not been easy to just let that go." She takes a deep breath. She had never told anyone that before. "But...if she's genuinely happy, then yeah, I'm happy for her. With all she's been through in life, she deserves that. Will you do me a favour though?"
She nods. "I know. I know, he didn't seem like a douche. He was so nice to me in the past. Then he did that." She smiles a little. "Maybe they don't deserve me. I know you don't always cuddle, but it must be nice to have your husband there to go to when you need him." She smiles a little as Jody kisses her cheek. "Maybe all I need is my babies, huh?"

Cassie nods a little and smiles at Gia. "She's not an easy person to forget Gi Gi. She's so brilliant to be with. I can try my hardest though. I really will, to just move on from her. If she's happy then that's all that's important." She smiles. "Can you just....tell her from me that everything's forgiven, and that I will never forget her, and I hope that everything goes amazing for Lucas and she?" She smiles a little and then bursts into tears. "I'm sorry."

Cassie nods. "I know. Yeah, you're right. Maybe I should just forget about guys. I mean I have you along the road to help me so I shouldnt need a man right?" She sighs. Cassie puts Jody back down. "Yeah. We can manage just the four of us. I managed so far and I'm a tough girl. And I love the three of them more than anything." She smiles.

Cassie nods and looks at Gia. "She just...she made me feel like I was worth something. And she's so beautiful and amazing. I want to forget all about her but I love her with all my heart and I think I always will." She cries softly. "I know but if I saw her it would hurt to know she's happy you know?" She cries and then hugs Gia. "I just want Katie to be happy. I'll never be able to stop loving her and I want to know that she's smiling." She cries and pulls Gia in tight.

Cassie nods and tries to wipe some tears. "I don't think I'll settle again. The kids need a constant something in their lives. And that should be their mommy. No one else." She cries. "You have no idea how much you mean to me Gi Gi. How important and how helpful you are."
