ooc: sweet baby jesus on a bun, that looks like a good hotdog. once placed in a bun and covered with toppings, hotdogs lose all phallic connotations and turn into deliciousness.

ooc:in the pan they look very foul,but i didnt want to look like a freak and as "excuse me sir,i'd like to snap a photograph of that hot dog before you bun it.". it was very good,it was all beef for our kosher friends. it is a meal in and of itself.

BACKGROUND/RECORDING:
"I've been working on this record for almost a year now, but I just got signed," says bandleader Trent. "And it almost became a chore to work on this music, which it shouldn't be. It should be something beautiful, but it turned into something like, god forbid, WORK. So this song was probably what pulled me out of that feeling, because I was in a streak of writing songs that were really shitty, and this is the first good one I wrote."

The song begins with a backmasking section of distorted guitar chords and sounds before a tinny sounding synth line comes in. After accompanying the vocals for the first two lines, it is replaced by rumbling, distorted bass and a steady, even drum beat,

the morning scatters in
and i'm just waking up
i've got to cut off my nose
to spite my coffee cup
and i swallow my pills
that i chase with my drink
and i need to put myself away
before i can even think

the walls are shaking and splitting
and with the paper i'm sitting
trying to jot my money maker on the lines
and oh god do i hate this
i don't know how i'm gonna make it
the things that we all do just to get by

The chorus comes in, atmospheric synths accompanying powerchords on guitar and the same rumbling bass as before,

writing for everyone
that seems so far away
i'll stay inside today
writing for everything
that tried to get away
i think that i'll stay inside
i think i'll sleep off the day


The rest of the instruments drop out until it's just the drum and bass lines, and the verse comes back in, Trent's voice sounding apathetic and dull,

and everything i put out
into the world turns into shit
i've tried to kill it all, to dumb it down,
i tried to swallow it
i'm looking six different kinds of crazy
god blames my mom because she made me
oh god it's me again

Before the guitars and synths come back, louder this time, for the chorus, which repeats itself until the song is over,

writing for everyone
