The Lost - Unreleased Cover Tapes To Be Released Not on tapes don't worry, we do live in the 21'st Century They will probably be available for download only, but we haven't made our minds up yet Mainly because Ben's been too busy banging Leslie, but also because Mike and Ian are douchebags are are off doing some shit making guitar and drum videos. Losers.

Yes, it is indeed true. The most un-hyped about release in history will be upon us in the New Year! Set for a suprise release on the 6th of January in the new decade, The Lost will release a bunch of unreleased cover songs that they hadn't the balls to put out to the public when they were still around. No word on what will appear on the album yet, but it should be enough to keep your greasy mits satisfied until they actually give a real reason for their breakup and a definite yes or no as to whether or not they will return. Liam however did say recently that there was no chance the band would ever get back together, but he and Ben are still good friends and Mike and Ian are cunts. He also stated this is NOT a comeback of any shapes or forms, it is only something to milk a few more dollah outa you suckers.

Some shitty artwork Liam cooked up.

The tapes will be released everywhere 10/1/10, on the wonderful Molotov Records.

1. Getting Away With It (James)
2. Bullet With Butterfly Wings (The Smashing Pumpkins)
3. Cool Yourself (Thao)
4. Scar Tissue (The Red Hot Chili Peppers)
5. Breed (Nirvana)
6. Rotten Apple (Alice In Chains)
7. I Will Follow You Into The Dark (Death Cab For Cutie)
8. Guerrilla Radio (Rage Against The Machine)
9. Hurt (Nine Inch Nails)
10. Triumph Of Our Tired Eyes (The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & The Traa Laa Laa Band)

As you can see there's no punk on it, and there's only a couple of grunge songs - so this is really outside out comfort zone. What we've done is taken a few classics and given them our Punky/Grunge twist. Enjoy :)

What about Punk, dude?
I'll take you off the tr00 punx club.

Jokes aside, it sounds really nice. The Cure are a cool band, can't wait for the rest!

-St. Jimmy [Drums/The Prisoners]
I own:

Andrew Guinnard (Post-punk/acoustic)
Lucy Tankeray (Pop diva/weird)

I thought you'd say that! Aha, na we recorded this as a bit of a change, but what we've done is just give a bit of 'Lost punky alternative zest to them, so hopefully they'll be something you won't expect.
And Joshy, sorry about that, James is a brilliant band and a real favourite of my to so we thought hey what better way to show our appreciation for the band than screw up one of it's major hits!

ooc: Bikz you were the reason I chose James, I was listening to them because you were ranting on about them as usual. ;)

News, Ahoy! The album's being skipped forward so you can get your grubby mitts on it earlier than expected. The album will now be released on JANUARY 6TH. Lush, innit? I'm also very delighted to announce my best friend Benjamin has recently become engaged to his beautiful wife to be - Leslie.

"Haven't had a chance to listen to it in its full yet but the tracks I've heard are really good, you guys give them a interesting twist that prevents them from sounding like most covers that end up being musically generic with just a different singer. From the six or so tracks I've heard, my personal favorite is 'I Will Follow You Into The Dark,' although I was bit iffy when I saw it in the track listing since I believe the original from Death Cab, is a masterpiece, I enjoyed the tweaks Liam and the old crew gave it. All in all, nice job."

Oh yeah definitely we love the Death Cab version, we weren't trying to make our cover better, we just wanted to give our version of it. And whether or not you enjoyed it more doesn't worry us because we just wanted to use it and then show our interpretation. Thanks though, Ryan. And I'm glad you enjoyed it Regan!
