Roberto Rios: I am still growing up and I remember during that period of time there was a lot going on. What many critics didn't realize is that I was reflecting on what I was feeling on many of the songs. I picked songs that truly reflected what I was trying to say. I had a lot to say in the album than what people think. It was more of a hit album than anything.

Flowers That Bleed: Was the unusual rock single off "The Secret Child" album that sparked controversy for it's mature content. Critically slammed by Linda Fea.The basic concept of the song was that all things beautiful bleed. The song peaked at #30 in the US Hot 100, but failed to chart in Canada.

The Secret Child: Served as the second and last single off "The Secret Child". The rock ballad, succeeded with mixed to positive reviews from critics. The song is about hiding away from everything, and from your youth. "Flowers That Bleed" and "The Secret Child" are the only two songs that Roberto Rios co-wrote for the album. The song peaked at #9 on the Hot 100 becoming Roberto Rio's first top ten hit in that region.

Promo Single:
Call Me Now (Rocking Out Interlude): Served as a promo mainstream single for the album. The song received negative reviews from top critics for it's mature content and managed to chart at #79 on the Hot 100. The music video shows Roberto Rios trying to get a girls number.

2nd Studio Album: Part Time Idiot

Sales: 2,376,000+ (WW)

4. Part Time Idiot

6. For The Record
7. Drive You Crazy
8. Light Blue
9. I Hate Needles

Roberto: This album was mainly just my way to vent with things, and just sort of break-out of that good kid image, critics were trying to make me.

Part Time Idiot: Is the lead single off the second studio album "Part Time Idiot". The song is an anthem for kids, who are portrayed as careless. The pop rock song peaked #2 on the US Hot 100 singles chart, becoming Roberto Rios's most successful song at the time. The music video was shot in a school bus, and features Roberto Rios acting out along with his friends.

Bad Word: Served as the second single off the album. The song received mixed reviews from critics, for being melodramatic about using bad words. The songs catchy and infectious hook which resembled the "F" word gained controversy, and it helped the song reach #5 on the US Hot 100 singles charts.

I Hate Needles: Served as the third off "Part-time" idiot. the song was slammed for it's double meaning lyrics relate to the act of using drugs. Linda Fea specifically, said that Roberto's label is not cautious on what song they choose and is putting the wrong image for the younger generation. The highly controversial song peaked at #3 on the US Hot 100 charts.

Radio: Served as the fourth and final single off "Part-Time Idiot" but failed to chart, due to lack of promotional. The song was pulled off I-tunes nearly a week after it's release. The song was originally going to be called "I want to be on the Radio"

Check out an upcoming interview with Ryan Secrest as I reveal info about my third studio album!
