Seen one of these posters? You're not alone. They're everywhere.
After the apparent demise of the IMAs (Birdies), these posters claim otherwise - that there will be a similar ceremony in December 2010, named the 'Ravens', supposedly after Raven Comatose. Differences of opinion have been expressed on who the co-host might be, nobody has issued a statement. Also, concerns about this young madcore princess's competence in working with such a mammoth task as the IMAs have raised - can she do it? Also, will the 'Ravens' be the last ever Birdies, or the beginning of a new era in the awards?
We'll just have to wait and see ....Edited by user 17 October 2010 23:59:42(UTC)

YASMIN STORME RELEASES STATEMENT

Yasmin Storme, pictured above, has released a statement regarding the IMAs/Ravens.
"Yes, there will be another event in 2010," she said. "The Raven awards, previously called the Birdies, are named after both my sister, Raven Comatose née Storme, and the great Raven Nightshade of Thunderwolf. Two musical legends in one, and of two very different genres. Also, while Thunderwolf took home a lot of Birdies, Raven [Comatose] was a terminal nominee - in her heyday, she always got a high number of nominations, but never took home the award. She would love this."
After giving the 19-year-old South Carolina starlet a minute to regroup, we ask her if there's any co-host set up as of yet.
"It won't be Katie Kairiri, she's a behind-the-scenes kinda gal. Nothing's set in stone. Joshy [Firecracker, Firecracker 47] would like the job, but he doesn't know if he could do it, even though he's an awesome showman." She pauses and scratches her head, thinking of criticisms of Yasmin herself hosting the IMAs. "I'm a headstrong girl. If I say that I can do something, I will."
Anything new about the IMAs?
She winks. "You'll just have to find out, won't you?"
So, is she a little girl out of her depth, or is it going to be the show of the year? What do you think? |

I think it's pretty respectable and amazing for the new name to be IMA's/"Ravens". It's a shame Raven (Comatose) never won any of the actual Birdies. I always hoped for her to win at least just one. But naming the new award show "Raven" will symbolize the fact that Raven was always a winner. I knew Raven even when she was know as Raven Storme and I'm happy this sort of honorary "tribute" is given to her.
Here's off to a whole new generation!- Stephanie F. Johnson

Thankyou Stephanie, I appreciate it. I know that the two of you were always great friends. (: 'Javen' Comatose and Thunderwolf are two of the biggest legends known today. This stands for all of them. It's true, she always was a winner. Stay Fierce, Yasmin x Edited by user 18 October 2010 07:04:12(UTC)
