It was last night when a club down in London was about to get in trouble. The reason was cause of a band who was supposed to play, that never showed up. The clubs owner went so far that he had to apologise and announce that the band wouldn’t be playing tonight, when the suggestion came from the bar.
“Give me a band and an hour and we’ll rock the place.” That was Ronny Rockens promise that night. The new Swedish rock rebel who recently returned from Japan came to the place together with the Roadmasters bassist, Edwardo, to relax. Instead they found themselves put together with two more volunteers from the audience, to form the temporary band Drunken Diggers.
A fairly decent rock show was offered that evening. Mainly built around old rock covers that the band members managed to come up with. Stuff like Chuck Berry’s “Sweet little rock n' roller” to Creedence “Fortunate son”. And even, abit against Ronny’s own wishes “Daddy played rock n’ roll”. Nothing is said about the Drunken Diggers future, but all in all, they gave a good show to make up for the loss of the real band.

tracklist of the night

Sweet little rock n' roller
California sun
Rockabilly rebel
Whole lot of shakin' going on
Improvised project (made up righ there and then)
Speedy gonzales (With Edwardo doing the female voice)
Daddy played rock n' roll
Run pussycat run
Fortunate son
