Rapper Rel has recently posted bond. He wasted no time heading into the studio. This is what he came back with a new mixtape called"In My Life"
In My Life1. The End – The beat sounds like an street Polo da don beat.Rel immediatly gets back to business with this track. You can hear the pain and frustration in his voice. He talks about all the people that thought he was never coming back. He declares that he's about to get everything he deserves and more. He also touches on his pending murder charge and talks about the atlanta police department is tryna keep him down.
2. I Wonder- Its an inspirational track. The beat is real smooth and laid back. In the song Rel has an heart to heart conversation with god. He talks about whats going on in his life now. Throughout the song he asks "Where will I be in the next 3 years". He covers a range of topics in the song. He mentions his drug addiction to zanex. He also talks about how he ain't ready to die and how there have been a few attempts on his life. This explains why he is always seen with a pistol. At the end of the song he questions his friends and the love they give. He wonders if its genuwine.
3. I'm Loaded – This song include reggae sample. If you enjoy smoking then you will feel the song. The song subject matter and the beat make this song the perfect song to get fucked up to.
4. Can't Stop-The song starts off with Rel's mama talking. She's begging her son to give up the drugs. The first verse starts off with Rel rapping with all the pain he is dealing with inside. The 2nd verse He talks about the damage his drug use does to his family. At the end of this verse he says that he gone quit. In the third He's tryna quit and go straight. He raps about how he is having nightmares about leaving this world. In the last few bars Rel relapses again and ends up in the hospital. Then you hear Rel talking to his mother saying that he ain't gonna do it no more.The the song fades out and you hear a flat line.
5. The Love Ain't Real - Rel made this song for his baby mama. He claims that the love ain't real and she don't care about him. He says in the song that she only wanted him because he had a little fame.
6. In Here- A straight club banger. The beat alone gets you amp'd. The concept is about being in the club going insane and repping your hood. Throughout the song Rel shouts out numerous Atlanta hoods and gangs.
7. Lil Quez- The concept of this song is that Rel is having a conversation with a young boy from his hood. He tries to tell him to not do what he did in these streets but Quez has his mind made up he's going to be a hustler. Rel gives him the game and trys to convince him to leave his dope boy life alone.
8. The World Is Mine- In this songs Rel express his potential to do big things. He says that the only thing that can hold him back is himself.
