After Kamikaze Kate's 'Hate', Moronic Changeling, who are currently charting at #9 with 'Bad Never Looked So Good', continue the deep trend by releasing 'One Lost Cell', a lyrically confusing ode to Jakey Comatose. The B-sides and release date are to be confirmed. This was every band member's favourite song on their most recent album, 'Fairweather! Forever!'. "A giant leap forward for Lukey," said Kaethe Jenkins, vocalist. "He's sounding so much like his brother now. When I first heard Lukey's solo demo, I just didn't want to take part, I'd feel like I was intruding on the - Comatoseness of it all. But we harmonised well, ja?"
"The words are confusing, but as ends the first verse, Lukey describes a song as a way 'to keep the pain on the outside, without me ever having to say why'," says Jimmy Bishop, pianist and manager. "There's something sacred in here, maybe that Jakey would understand. I would assume that the 'one lost cell' is Lukey's own stem cell, but the whole feeling of guilt and secrecy surrounding it .... that's for nobody to know. Overall, awesome song. If you like Moronic Changeling and Jakey Comatose, this is for you."
"Also, all sales for this will go to Cancer Research, to help people like Jakey," says Lukey. "I'm adamant that we're not making money for this."

It's coincidence. There are tough things to sing about .... like the burning of the poppies, and Jakey leaving .... hopefully things won't be so dark.

We've tried to sit down and write new material since the...well the death...you know what I mean, but there's just this persistent nag that somethings missing.
