After almost two years of hiatus, Roxy Firecracker's girl-rockers The Mind Bandits have announced that they are getting back together. Roxy, who went by the codename of 'Gemma Franceschi' during her time as a Mind Bandit, recently met up with former bandmates Justine and Donna Sullivan and Rosie Brassesco.
Donna (drums), Roxy (guitar), Justine (vocals) and Rosie (bass) .... they'll steal your mind
WHY GEMMA?
"Joshy was rolling in it. He was famous, and the thing is, Laura [Firecracker, formerly known as 'Emi Franceschi'] and I wanted to make our own names. We didn't want to be famous for being Joshy Firecracker's sisters, we wanted to be Roxy and Laura - or, rather, Gemma and Emi. I won't be Gemma now because more people know me as Roxy."
WHAT ABOUT KATIE?
"Unfortunately, Kathryn 'Katie' Meadows had problems with blood poisoning and passed away. She had a rare blood type, needed a donor and stocks are low. There will be a small memorial service. Sophie-at-the-bar says that Katie's not dead at all, just comatose. Sophie says a lot of things, but I hope that she's right this time ...."
THE WINTER SUICIDES ....
".... was something which Katie wanted to hear every Christmas. We'll be releasing 'The Winter Suicides 2010' in memory of her. It won't be the same, but we'll try."
