video courteousy of southfloridapsychos.com.
*black fades into a seedy bar.numerous tv's flicker with whatever espn plays at 3:30 in the morning.the entire bar population doesnt top 15 people.at least half of which are passed out on their stools.erich is leaning on a pool table.empty pitchers line the table, ready to lay siege to the green felt at a moment's notice.

molly:you up for a game? *picks up cue* i'll break.*molly smoothly breaks, and sinks the #2 ball*

erich:you care to put some money on this?

molly:all i got is a twenty.

erich"i'll take some of that action. *with an air of great confidence, erich takes his shot and sinks the 8 ball* on second thought, let's get back to the interview.

molly:hey! you owe me twenty bucks!

erich"*pats pockets frantically* i'm a little short.just give me to next week,i swear i'll get it to you.

molly:lame, erich.really, really lame.speaking of financial matters, are the days of free war bride releases numbered?

erich:*sighs*yeah.between our extravagant recording costs, paying for hotel pool damages, liquor costs, etc bees knees is at it's limit.bobby c didnt come out and say it to us,but we got one of those ransom style notes saying that the war bride costs about 100X what it brings in.i think bobby's girl did it.she's had it in for me since i asked if she fancied a roll in the hay.

molly:that's low erich, even for you.isnt bobby your friend?

erich:sure he is.i'd take an ass whooping for him.susie q totally misunderstood what i was asking.i actually had alot of hay and some ecstasy.i dont do the shit, but i figured she might.

molly:*shakes head* so future war bride releases will cost money, and you guys are playing the warp tour? has the word "sellout" been tossed your way?

erich:*lights cigarette, then promptly snubs it out*wasteful, but makes for great dramatic effect.sellout? meh,i've been called worse.once a woman thought i was named zack.like that cunt from saved by the bell and me would share anything.especially something as important as a name.we're planning on giving mp3's away for free.but the actual vinyl copies will cost a lil.but i assure you,it'll be worth your hard earned cash.

molly:*hops up to sit on edge of pool table*and the warp tour?

erich:a show is a show.am i happy about playing a stage sponsored by a reality show? not really, but i'm not getting my panties in a wad about it.i've never watched the show,so for all i know it might be great.....or they beat puppies senseless with prosthetic limbs stolen from orphans.makes no difference to me.

*at this point, karoliena saunters out of the bathroom.a relieved look on her face*

karoliena:god damn that was a great whiz,i wasnt sure if i was peeing or having an orga-*notices molly* oh,you're the girl from that website.

molly:yup,i was having a lovely chat with erich here.

karoliena:*looks molly up and down, and slips her arm around erich's* yeah,i bet.

molly:rowr.anyways,*looks over her notes* what can you tell me about the recording of "rites of the atom"?

erich:we set out to craft the best album we could.i know that should go without saying, but we didnt even try on "clockwork elvis". that way,if we failed, who cares? we didnt try that hard anyway.with "rites" we were looking to really make a name and sound for ourselves.

molly:sorry to cut you short, but here's a word from our sponsors.

karoliena:speaking of selling out...

molly:ok,we're back erich and karoliena were just filling us in on the details of "rites of the atom",*turns to karoliena and erich* needless to say,you guys have unique view on what a song should be in regards to subject matter.what's the creative process behind something like "lion in a sitz bath"?

karoliena:*still giving molly a sour face* that one is one of my favorites.it works on sooo many levels. "lion", "lying" get it? the whole idea behind the war bride is basically we wanna be the music world's rip taylor.

erich:*doing a rather good rip taylor impersonation* LAUGH,IT'S FUNNY!!!

molly:ugh,i hate that guy.

karoliena:doesnt surprise me,you look like a rip hater.dane cook is more your speed.

molly:well,he is kinda funny...i mean no way.i'm far too hip for the likes of him.moving along, how has the reception been for "rites"? it's been the talk of the town at sfp.com's offices, but elsewhere.......

karoliena:you guys have offices??

erich:*takes a long, thoughtful sip of his beer*well,it's been ......quiet.but i'm not concerned.i mean, the beatles didnt hit it big until years after they broke up.i think that song they did with ace of base really put them on the map.

molly:i really think there is something wrong there.

erich:*waves hand dismissively* i dont have time to get bogged down with minor details.i'm a man on the go,a fucking dynamo!

karoliena:much like "clockwork elvis".it's flying low on the radar.which is showbiz talk for "it's a flop".but i think in our given genre,it's pretty successful.

molly:ok, psychobilly and horror films go hand in hand.what are some of your favorites?

erich:kari and i have always been big fans of "cannibal holocaust".it's so needlessly over the top.much like our little band.personally,i'm not too big into horror.i prefer an old school john waters film.

karoliena:call me "kari" again, and you'll have a bloody stump where your arm was.hands down,my favorite film has to be "motel hell".it's so lovably bizarre.i wont eat "beef" jerky anymore.that could be any meat in there! cow or hobo? i'll be damned if i'm taking those chances! *shudders*

molly:*scooting closer to karoliena and erich* you guys got any plans after the warp tour?

karoliena:back off sister, you blew those chance by liking dane cook.

molly:what are you talking about?

karoliena:oh like you dont know....

erich:after the warp tour we're doing a project with bobby cairo.it's all very "hush hush"and on a "need to know basis" it's not the assassination of a sitting head of state, but it's close.

karoliena:it's going to be great.exotic locales, rampant vice, and wreckless disregard for personal or spiritual safety.we've stocked up on coconut bras and hula skirts.

molly:it's been a real pleasure talking to you two.i guess.

Bobby: I'm actually pretty damn pleased with the sales performance of "rites of the atom". Sure it flew under the radar in most US markets, but it was a big hit in places like Pensacola and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was also a big seller in Brighton Beach out on Coney Island. I'm not sure why exactly. I mean it's a great album but that's a pretty random locale. Perhaps Karoliena sunbathed topless there one day after visiting Bee's Knees headquarters? Anyway, the album was also a big hit in Eastern Europe. It sold literally hundreds of copies in places like Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Those folks love their psychobilly. I know "hundreds" doesn't sound like much but that's actually good enough to go platinum over there.

{Bobby picks up two armfuls of framed certification plaques from his desk with flags of various European countries on them.}

Bobby: I'll give these to you guys when we meet up for, you know...that thing we're doing. Not the wife-swapping thing, but the other thing.
