A couple of these albums were released outside the US in 2009, but for Americanos such as myself they count toward 2010. There's also a few albums from this year that I haven't listened to (including Brian Eno and Neil Young) that might end up making the cut.

I've only heard two albums released this year, so I'll point them out.

My Chemical Romance - Danger Days (it indeed is an amazing album)
Gogol Bordello - Trans-Continental Hustle (I just love Eugene saying 'Uma menina, uma cigana' and 'cachaça da cigana')
