Mike Sneap is an American Musician who lives in Finland. He is a Legend in the Finnish Death Metal Scene for being the Founder of the MeloDeath Band Cirlce Of Wizards. The Band had a Big Success in Finland and Scandinavia, but Mike decided to left the Band to create Empyreus, a Progressive Extreme Metal Band influenced by some bands like Mind, and they released their debut album some days ago...

Mike, thank you for this interview. Lets start with a question about your Debut Album with Empyreus.
Yeah...Mm, Empyreus is a very complex album, but I Think this is my best album in some years. I could experiment for this album, Circle Of Wizards was only a MeloDeath Band, but I wanna more, so I Created Empyreus to Experiment and reach new Frontiers. But this is a Dark and very Heavy Album, sometimes it's heavier than CoW's Albums.

I read that the Album is very Successful, what can you tell me about the Sales?
Yeah! The Sales are going very good! The Album debuted at #3 in the World Charts and we have a lot of New Fans!

Very Nice. Now, tell Me your Future projects with Empyreus.
We're going to tour with Act Of God, our label-mates and we are very happy. This will be our First World Tour! Then we will return to my Studio to work in a new album.

Mike, are you working in some Side-Project?
Yes...I Love music, so I work on it every day...With Empyreus, and new projects. I have a very good project coming soon, it's death metal, but you have to wait. And I'm working in another band called Deadseed with Nomëd (from Rëciful Thaed). And there is one more project but...more Info to Come soon!

It sounds good! What do you think of the Metal Scene on these days?
There are some Successful and excellent bands like Mind and Blood Of Wecz. And there are more Very Good bands like Act Of God, In Paradisum, Ritual, Empyreus *laughs*

Who is Your Favourite Guitarist?
Mmm, Mark Talley from Blood Of Wecz, he's one of my Biggest Influences.

And your Favourite Vocalist?
It's hard to choose one...Jason Smith.
