Ronny Rocken. A name you don’t hear too often in a magazine. We thought we would find out why and made the guy a call. After a few signals, we’re answered and told that this is a recorded message, made 3 years ago since he knew we would call him. And he also knew he would be off to take a shit at this very moment.
A recorded message or not, Ronny Rocken did well in answering our questions.

It’s not often we hear of you in interviews like this. Even if your last album hit #5 in Europe and #11 in the UK. Why is that?

Ronny: why is what?

Why haven’t see seen you in any interviews or media?

Ronny: That’s because I’m too awesome to be in them. People faint when they see my pretty face, hear my perfect voice or even look at my writing. It’s got nothing to do with all the booze between the studio and the tours. There’s nothing like that involved.

Alright. But you’re back again, this time on top 20 as #6, was it?

Ronny: Oh, that’s true. It was quiet a suprice actually. Not that it sold bad or anything. Even a heart of stone will bleed someday simply didn’t seem to get much attention. An so this came out of nowhere.

I bet it...

Ronny: It wasn’t even supposed to be on the single. The King is back was supposed to be the main track. This was really just a last minute project that I wrote and recorded one evening. But it did sound better.

I didn’t knew that. So does…

Ronny: Are you trying to ask something else?

Actually Yes. You’ve mentioned another album, ever since November, was it? Does this mean it’s on its way?

Ronny: There'll be a single before that. But then, not only one album. I’ve got two albums on my mind. And another one in work. I’ve got more material than I can handle over here.

So what can you tell us about the new album?

Ronny: Burnout will be the title. It’ll more or less be a pure rock n’ roll album. Themed around my passion for old American cars. It’s gonna be like a road trip to… well not hell. It’s gonna be too good for that. But maybe to…. Not to heaven. I don’t think they want me there. Or those cars. Ah, well if you like rock n’ roll with that old fashion beat and some good guitar riffs, then this is your kind of poison. This is from the heart.

So there’ll be nothing that earned your music the title of cockrock?

Ronny: You put a name on that stuff? Well actually not. I’ll save all of that madness for the album after it. Then it's time to swing our dicks again.

Thank you for that information... One last question. is Rocken Roll Radio dead or will we hear more of it in the future?

Ronny: yes, you will. Possibly, there'll be an eastern special. And of course we need a midsummer special, since that's the best celebration of the year over here.
