Ryan Seacrest: Good morning guys! This is On Air With Ryan Seacrest. It is February 15, 2011 and we have a very special guest this morning on the phone with us. She is a multi-platinum selling artist, everyone this is Tisha Jackson. What’s up Tisha?
Tisha: Good morning Ryan! GOOD MORNING WEST COAST! Ryan Seacrest: How are you? I know you’ve been very busy lately preparing your album. Can you tell us about that?
Tisha: I am doing very good Ryan. I am excited! And I know my fans and the public have been anticipating the new single and album and I am ready to deliver to them.
Ryan Seacrest: Yes! Yes! The single, titled “That’s How You Want It?”, will premiere on here in the next couple of minutes. But until then we’ll catch up more with you Tisha. I’ve heard the record, and I personally think it’s one of your best. It’s a very feel good dance kind of feel to it.
Tisha: Yes. The single is very feel good and it does make you want to get up and dance. And the actual funny thing about the single “That’s How You Want It?” is that it was one of the last songs recorded for the album. But I loved the beat so much that I sat down listened to it for about ten more minutes and the track was written and recorded two hours later.
Ryan Seacrest: The title “ That’s How You Want It?” is very provocative, can you tell our listeners who haven’t heard the single what the title actually means?
Tisha: I know the title can sound a little provocative but the song isn’t really. But I can say it has a lot of edge to it. I personally think that It is my most edgiest song. Some lyrics can be a little on the freaky side but I hope they’ll love it.
Ryan Seacrest: Have you filmed a video for the single yet?
Tisha: Yes I have. We filmed last week in New York City. Actually, I don’t know if we announced this yet, but the video is premiering on Friday February 18th. And I’m going to be at 106 & Park discussing the single and album on that Friday as well. So if my New York fans want to see me request tickets for 106 & Park. Ryan Seacrest: Well Tisha, I think we’ve let them wait long enough. I think it’s time you premiered the single yourself. Take it off!
Tisha: You going to hear it here first, this is my first single off the new album premiering on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Here is “That’s How You Like It?”! I hope you love it!!!

Ryan Seacrest: Guys! You’ve heard it here first. That was the first single off of Tisha’s upcoming album “That’s How You Like It?”. Call in and tell us what you think about it. Until then were gonna chat more with Tisha. So Tisha, can you tell us more about the album?
Tisha: Yes the album! The album should be coming out sometime in April. I belive next week were gonna announce the album release date and the track list. That’s coming to you guys next Friday. And the album is just really loud, energetic, and edgy. This is probably my most urban album, a lot of 80’s and 90’s Hip-Hop/R&B influences. I’m absolutely in love with this album!
Ryan Seacrest: Do you have a title yet?
Tisha: No, not yet. But I will probably announce that next week when I announce the release date and track listing. I like to take my time when it comes to album titles and naming the album.
Ryan Seacrest: So are you planning to tour?
Tisha: Yes I am. We are currently planning a tour. I can’t give too much details on that but more information will be given you soon.
Ryan Seacrest: Well there were some rumors circulating on who you worked with on this album. But we here at on air will like you to give us some names. Is that okay with you?
Tisha: Yes that is okay with me. But I can’t tell you everyone. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for next week. But I can let a big cat out of the bag. Many of my fans have walked up to me and they ask me, when is the next time your gonna work with GirlSpice? Well, I can confirm to you guys that yes, I have indeed teamed up with GirlSpice again for this records. They produced the album along with me. We just sat and created beats and wrote a lot.
Ryan Seacrest: How is that working with them? I imagine that it would be fun knowing that you’ve been friends for years and you haven’t worked with them since 2009?
Tisha: You know it was really amazing. Very fun. Its always fun to work with them. But it was more fun this time around because I told them what I wanted and they 100% delivered. Its always fun when we get together. And I think that when you pair us up we create a unique sound many people haven’t heard before but love.
Ryan Seacrest: So how does it feel to be in the business for four years?
Tisha: It feels very fresh. But to think about all that I’ve accomplished in that little amount of time is amazing. And I’ve grown. Like I remember when I first got into this business and Im sure the girls from GirlSpice can agree with me on this. I didn’t think this far. And to be here standing strong is amazing.
Ryan Seacrest: Well, Tisha it was great catching up with you and I hope to see you in the studio for an interview soon.
Tisha: Yes you will Ryan. Im sorry about the call I know you want me in the studio with you. Hahaha! Im just kidding. But anyways it was nice talking to you. Ryan Seacrest: Same here. And I hope to see you soon!
Tisha: Oh, you will. Later!Edited by user 16 February 2011 14:04:05(UTC)
