Biography
Dakota Marie Sanchez is an Native American actress, Hollywood personality, model and singer born on November 21, 1991. She was raised in Miami, Florida. Cousins to the infamous rapper Rum, she too comes from a Cuban background, her parents, Humberto Sanchez (Native American) and Lovela Tarantino-Sanchez (Cuban-American), both of which worked in theatre. They quickly involved their daughter in their theatrical activities, Dakota being placed in acting classes, vocal and dance lessons. Soon enough, Dakota starred in school plays and moved on to commercials and receiving small parts in a few movies after becoming a child model. When Dakota was 14, she landed her first big role in an award winning independent movie, 'America's Dreams', where she played a girl named America who was an illegal immigrant striving to make a living for herself in America by herself after both of her parents are suddenly deported. The roles received after that movie weren't movies you would find on Disney. Dakota took on very serious roles throughout her career. Her big break came to her when she as given the lead role in the Box-Office topping movie, 'Right From Wrong'. She continued to embark on an acting career for the next 2 years. By the age of 18 , she decided on focusing on college and a modeling career , and to stay intact she decided to start a blog of pictures and her thoughts . It became apparent after the first month or so of her blog , that she was very outspoken.
After spending time becoming more known for her personality than her modelling and at a point not known at all, in 2013 Dakota returned back to acting, landing a role on the mega hit series Alistair: the City Of Secrets playing yet another mature role, this time a character decades older than herself. She was also announced apart of the upcoming HBO series' cast Consequences. But even then shes has turned out to be more known for her Twitter account and it's controversial content. Being @SupremeBurritoShade on both her Twitter and her Instagram, choosing the name because it poked fun at all the stereotypes she's been stuck with growing up as a latino woman. She's managed to earn up to 30 million followers just off of her tweets and 10 million followers on her Instagram account.
