Any RL Attempts At Music?

I thought it'd be interesting to see if anyone actually started playing music RL and how much success they'd found. I've always thought about starting a band and playing the bass, and now that I've actually got a job to buy a bass and amp with, and a friend who can play the guitar, I think I will. I'm also studying Music Theory online.
So has anyone else done anything RL? |

I did an industrial type....thing. Lost most the material when a hurricane flipped my shed over and the tapes were soaked in acetone.
What did It sound like you ask? Picture badly played guitar layered on another guitar the was purposely randomly tuned,layered onto a cardboard box being beaten on (to a microphone,it makes a convincing bass drum.) layered onto porno samples,layered on top of a didgieridu.
I called myself piso mojado. I made an entire cassette worth of music. One should be floating around Leeds somewhere. |

Played in a band with my friends over Summer. I played bass and done vocals, we were like a really bad garage rock band. We got playing in bars around the town though and earned a solid return. Obviously I've moved to a different country to study at University, but it's definitely on my agenda to get another band going. |

I play in a pop punk band, sort of like Cloud Nothings and the Marked Men, we've only played house shows but we're playing a bar for a music festival next weekend, and I do harsh noise meets fluxus performance. |

My uncle has been in music since I was born and he had some success early on, now it is more of a producer and I'm trying to help him out with that by making my own music and writing. I just don't want to spotlight though so their that. |
