 Aeons (stylized ÆONS) is a British-American progressive metal band, formed in early 2013 and is composed of bassist Bill Owens, guitarists Mike Rudess and Jordan Levin and drummer Austin Sanders. Many of their songs feature progressive concepts and melodic instrumentation with a mix of clean and screaming vocals. Three out of the four members participate as lead vocalists, creating a unique blend of singing styles and voices.
The band was formed on March 2013 after Bill Owens and his friend Mike Rudess decided to start a band together. They gathered other two friends from the metal scene, Jordan Levin and Austin Sanders to complete the line-up, but did not record any demos or songs. Bill is mainly a producer so the recordings were pulled back because of his producing work with bands like The Enlightened and Penetralia.
On September 2014, they decided to 'officialy start' as a band, launching their website and confirming that they are working on their debut album to be released somewhere between late 2014 and early 2015. On October the band released their debut single, Dreaming In Clouds which was well-received by fans and critics and reached the #2 on the digital charts and topped the radio airplay charts. On November, their second single came out, Let Me Fly. After releasing two singles independently, under the Rever Music label, the band decided to accept an offer and signed a record deal with american label Songs to Love and Die By. On December the band released their first single with the Songs to Love and Die By label, Until The End featuring Penetralia's Koda Espinosa as a guest vocalist, days later the quarted confirmed their debut album A Journey Through The Innermost and a new single, By Your Side (featuring Lily Abbot) which was released on January 2015 and became the band's most-successful single after Dreaming In Clouds, debuting at #1 on the radio charts and #2 on the digital charts. On 30th January the band released their highly-anticipated debut album through Songs To Love And Die By, and was met with a good reception from fans and critics.Interview With Bill Owens || December 2014
