Title: Arms, So Skinny
Artist: Some Kind of Planet
Release Date: March 5th, 2015
Producer: Bryan Kobayashi
Written by: Noel Houston
Length: 5:57
Recorded in: Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, Japan
Format: Digital

Arms, So Skinny is the second official single from Post-punk/dance punk band, Some Kind of Planet. It takes an unexpected turn from the band's familiar dance punk roots to more of a post punk feel. The song was written by Noel Houston and was recorded in a large hipster neighborhood in Tokyo when the band toured in Japan.

The song starts out with a dissonant guitar riff that sticks throughout most of the song. One of the most interesting parts of the song is the bass part, it stands out because it's a very complex bass line and it takes the lead over the guitar riff. Roughly three minutes in, the song goes into a long feedback solo from guitar as well as bass at various intervals. The song features a part that was suggested by the person recording the track. It is a Japanese verse, "Kirisuto watashi wa anata o aishite!" Which ends up translating to "Christ, I love you!" The song shallowly references Noel's distaste for religion.

Sounds like:

Ha!

Veins are like dead decaying roots
Oh Christ please come save me
From myself and everyone around me
Surely, Surely
I'm okay!

We're living in cages
We're living in cages
We're living in cages
Begging "Please, we're not dead!"
Ohhhhhhhhhhh!

Veins are like dead decaying roots
Oh Christ please come save me
Ha!
Ha!

Veins are like dead decaying roots
Oh Christ please come save me
From myself and everyone around me
Surely, Surely
I'm okay!

Arms so skinny!

Kirisuto watashi wa anata o aishite!
Ahhhhhh!

Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
Silently embracing
Words unfamiliar to me
