OoC: I have no idea where the old one is. But I whipped that one up in a few minutes and I'll put some effort into this one. Haha. :)

Location: Sacramento, CAMembersBillie Beckett - Vocals, Guitar
Lead vocals and nice guitar playing are what Billie Beckett bring to the band. Born in the mid '80s Beckett grew up listening mostly to many British bands, Radiohead in particular is the one he mentions as his main influence. The northern California native first made an impression on Vin and Matt in 2003 when he was filling in for a local band's vocalist at a wedding. He had been in various bands through highschool but had never taken music very seriously as a career until he began jamming in 2003 with what would become Reported Failure.
Vin Peters - Guitar, Vocals
Vin Peters might be called the creative drive behind the band. He might be called the band leader. He also might be called the band's business man for handling the release of all the band's albums to date. What he like to be called, is Vin. He began playing guitar in the 8th grade, and kept it up through highschool. The first serious band he was in was one he started with one of his friend's, Matt Collins. It was the two of them and a drummer, with Matt blasting out lead vocals. Eventually that faded out though and after finding Billie Beckett, the three formed Reported Failure.
Matt Collins - Bass, Vocals
As bandmate Adam Rocklin says, "Matt Collins will probably be the last man alive if the apocalypse happens in our time. He's a guy who is always there, and always excited about the current project, and simply can't be taken down,". Matt's role in the band has become Mr. Everything. He helps write songs, supplies most of the backing vocals, and always comes up with creative instrumental things to put in songs. He does a little bit of everything, and could probably do anything!
Adam Rocklin - Drums
Adam came into the band right before the writing of their debut LP was finished as a replacement for the former drummer who left Reported Failure because he wanted to move to Canada. He immideately found that he fit right in. His background was in metal, but he soon found he preffered the lighter sound of Reported Failure to the band he had been in before. He's the only band member that doesn't seem to have a big hand in the songwriting. He never considered himself a musician, just a drummer, but a damn good one, as his bandmates will testify.
BioReported Failure formed officially in 2003 out of the ashes of an old band that Vin and Matt had started known just as 'Other Side'. Jam sessions with Billie turned into the new band. It was originally going to be a continuation of Other Side, but that idea was quickly put to rest as they found a drummer and began writing.
The band noe officially called Reported Failure put out a self titled EP in 2004. Just after that their original drummer took off to Canada as the only person Vin, Matt or Billie knew who actually went through with their promise to move to Canada if President George Bush was re-elected. The band went on a temporary hiatus at this time. None of them had time to juggle personal things and finding a new drummer.
In late 2005 they started playing shows locally again. They didnt fully get bakc together though until late Summer 2006. With fresh determination they began writing their first LP with new drummer Adam Rocklin. It was released the following year. "I Know You' as it was called wasn't hugely popular at first. Full of loud punk songs about bitter breakups it could have been a train wreck had the band not seen every single stereotype an albm like that could have, and avoided all of them. The album suddenly took off in 2008 after some of the songs were featured on various music video TV stations.
When I Know You took off Reported Failure was busy writing. Writing their second album 'Flux of the Run'. Musically things turned darker and heavier. THe lead guitar got louder, but muck of the album is acoustic or clean with the rythm guitars. Lyrically, though things got alot darker. The album was loved by critics, and shot down by fans who missed the poppier sound of earlier releases.
The follow up to FLux of the Run was the punk rock epic titled 'Disarm'. It was a concept album dreamed up by Matt and Vin. The idea, in short, was just a full on rebellion on earth. The sound was more similar to I Know You, in the fact that alot of the songs were poppier, and apealed to a wider range of fans, which is why Disarm has sold almost 4 million copies. Beneath the surface, though, is the raw power of the lyrics which if interpreted a certain way show the history of the world in the last 50 years. And the instrumentals which are agressive and will grab any punk or grunge fan easily.
In the wake of Disarm Billie Beckett announced that he was to pursue a solo career. The band is going on a temporary hiatus while Billie records and promotes his album. Vin and Billie have both said that the band will be back with more albums, but for now theyre going to take it easy and focus on other things at home.
