LATEST GOSSIP INSIDE THE MIND OF STACEY WALTONBMM: So how are you Ms. Stacey Walton?
STACEY WALON: I'm doing great, things are blowing up right now which has been incredible.
BMM:Did you ever expect your momentum to be so big as it is now?
STACEY WALTON:Not at all, I haven't been around very long and it's only been about 5 months since I thought, maybe I could do this profesionally, It's been pretty werid and unexpected but it's been great and I really appreciate the reaction to me and my music.
BMM:How do you think your music will appeal to people?
STACEY WALTON:I dunno, I wasn't expecting very many people to pick up my album when I first started writing but I think it's been a sort of word of mouth success. I think that it's not one particular genre, if your a pop fan you'll like it, if your a rock fan you'll like it, if your a punk fan you'll like it. I think the songs are the kind that get stuck in your head, whether that's a good thing or not I don't know. But people seem to like it and hopefully it continue's.
BMMDo you have a release date or title for the album yet?
STACEY WALTON:Yeah the albums called The Sun Always Rises and the release date is undecided but most likely September/October. You won't have to wait too long for it though.
BMM:What has been your favourite thing about your new found success?
STACEY WALTON:I dunno, The acolades have been great, I've been receiving messages of praise from some of the best musicians around and that's made me go a bit crazy. The whole responce has been great so I can't really say one thing has been particularly good.
BMM:Which celebrities have you met that made you starstruck?
STACEY WALTON:I haven't met a whole lot, I think I was a bit taken aback when I was at the Dirty Bastard Hotel and Glamazon came in, she was oozing sexiness and I was kind of in awe, I'm pretty friendly with the guys from Infinite but everytime I meet them I'm still like a little fan girl, I just struggle to speak and then after about 10 minutes they can't shut me up. There's a couple more but like I say I haven't met an awful lot of famous people.
BMM:What kind of music do you listen to?
STACEY WALTON
:Would it be too broad to say all kinds of music. Mainly music more towards rock but I like a pop song every now and then.
BMM:Who are your favourite artist out now?
STACEY WALTON:So many, Infinite are always at the top of the pile, Reckoner are incredible, Glamazon has such artistic ability it's scary, Daniel is my new favourite person in music right now, Mind are incredible. Too many to name.
BMM:Do you think that your personality comes on abit strong?
STACEY WALTON:Maybe a little bit, when I'm just hanging with my friends then I'm very in your face and I get a bit crazy. But when I'm sort of around people who I idolize, then I'm a bit more quiet and normal I guess.
BMM:Do you think your audience and other artist in general would accept your stong personality?
STACEY WALTON:I dunno, I guess it's better to have a strong personality and be entertaining than just being boring, some people are in music to make money and that's all, they're the kind of people who will pose naked to add an extra zero onto their back balance, I'm in it for the music, that's where my hunger is.
BMM:Which do you prefer writing songs or performing them?
STACEY WALTON:Performing them without doubt, because when you perform the songs it means that they're finished. I enjoy writing music but it can get really fucking frustrating, You can sit with a guitar and a piece of paper all day and nothing will come and as soon as your head hits the pillow then bang, suddenly you've got lyrics and something to work with.
BMM:A year ago did you think you would be here, at this stage in your life?
STACEY WALTON:A year ago, I was on the streets of Camden in North London. I'd stand outside a small coffee shop and play guitar. I didn't have a job and a lot of my friends were in college making a future for themselves. I decided to just play guitar on the streets and hope that people enjoyed it, on the evenings I'd probably be drinking maybe 3 bottle's of lager a night so that helped me to avoid getting depressed. It wiped away the blues shall we say.
BMM:Who are your celebrity crushes?
STACEY WALTON:So many, nah I'd say Eric Quillington and maybe Ryan Ross Hernandez, because I know he'd only be interested in a one night stand, if that and that would suit me fine. I have a bit of a crush on Glamazon and Daniel, I think I'm drawn to the artistic type.
BMM:When can we expect to hear another single from you?
STACEY WALTON:I dunno, I'll probably put the album out first and then think about another single but there's no rush.
BMM:It was great meeting with you, we wish you well.
KICKING IT WITH SUBURBAN SUNRISEBMM:Hello guys, How are you?
Matt: We are pretty thanks we're glad to be here and doing this interview!
Nicole, I just want to start off by saying, your vocals are amazing.
Nicole: Well why thank you
BMM:How does it feel to be the only girl?
Nicole: Um well it's kinda wierd and shity but my boys are just amazing sometimes when we're on the road there are somtimes I want to just talk about boys and drama but you know I acctually love being the only girl because girls cause alot of drama and I really wouldn't want to have drama inside the band because thats the type of crap that would break up a band.
BMM:So how do you guys feel about going on tour?
Nick: I personally love going on tour because the kids go crazy when we play and our fans always seem to go crazy.
Nicole: I agree with Nick on that cause our fans our just the best.
Matt: I acctually enjoy touring but after about 2 or 3 months I just want to go home and relax
BBM:Do you ever get to a point where your like- Okay this touring is enough, "im tired"?
Matt: Definitly on our last tour "Doesn't Mean It's Legal Circus Tour" I was really just about done after the first month I had enough of it but we played another two months so that was really tiering but luckly we are on a break right now but we get started on August 28th with rock gods The Bards.
Nicole: I acctually have never been on tour with the band but I played the last two gigs on "DMILCT" with the band and some shows after that so im acctually excited to go on tour
BMM:Now, when does your new record come out?
Nick: September 4th 2010! And if people dont buy it I will hunt them done kidnap them put them in a room and force them to listen to it.
Matt: Ya Nick you do that. We originaly wanted the album to be released on New Years Eve but we really couldn't wait that long
BMM:How do you feel that this new new record is different from your past records?
Nicole: Well this is my first album with the band and people will finally be able to hear my vocals other then Torn Filthy Love and The Leaving Scene which are the only two songs that we have released off the new record so I am excited for people to hear this but I think Matt and Nick can tell you the differece between this record and the last one.
Nick: On this album we brought back elements from the first album that we liked along with alot of newer ones. For example we kept the awsome guitar riffs and my screams but we added alot of new elements such as more instromentals for intro's and things like that so I dont want to give much stuff away but this album is way better then Doesn't Mean It's Legal.
BMM:Do you think that you guys would ever break up?
Matt: Well as many people know we have had quite a few lineup changes in our time begining with the leaving of original members Jenny(Vocals) and Charlie(Guitar) and then it was just going to be Nick, our touring drummer Dylan, and Myself plus we were going to hardcore our sound but we decided we didnt want our music to go in that direction. Then we added Alex(Guitar), Joe(Guitar) and Joel(Guitar) which gave us three guitarests plus four when I would play but I did mainly vocals. Then the most recent was when those three left and Nick and I really were not sure if we wanted to do it anymore but we took a look back at what we did and decided what the hell why would we give up this opertunity I mean its not everyday someone is offered a record contract and is able to release albums. We then held vocalist tryouts and Nicole showed up and right awsay we new she was the perfict singer for our group and Nick thought she was insainly hot so to answer you question no I really dont see us breaking up anytime soon.
BMM:Do you think any of you would want to pursue a solo career?
Nick: Uh not really
Matt: Nah the band aspect is too much fun
Nicole: Ya screw these guys I dont need them. Just joking I love these guys too much to leave them.
BMM:What artist do you listen to?
Nicole: Im really big on Michelle Green, Glamazon, Stephanie Fierce, and Brittany Knox
Nick: I listen to the metal type of music like Hellspawn, Mind, and The Nimrods
Matt: I acctually listen to classical music like Bache, and Motzart but modern music is The Bards, Reckoner you stuff in that nature
BMM:How did you guys form originally?
Nicole: Ill let the boys answer this one
Nick: Matt do you want to explain it?
Matt: Naw man I explained it last time its your turn
Nick: Damn! Ok well Matt and I have known eachother for a very long time because we grew up two houses down from eachother so we started jamming and then once we hit high school our new friends Dylan, Charlie, and Jenny were all ready jamming as a band but were looking for a bassest and another guitarest so Matt asked if we could jam with them and we ended up jamming a whole lot and we decided to play a few gigs and thats how Suburban Sunrise was born!
Matt: Thank you Nick!
Nick: Anytime brother
BMM:How do you think your music will affect the world?
Nicole: It will bring world peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we sell one million copies of this album scientists have proven that there will be world peace!
Matt: And it will turn people on! Thats proven to!
BMM:Do you have any upcoming exciting news/scoops you want to let your fans know through BM Magazine?
Nick: I am looking for my next mamsita so anyone interested let me know!
Matt: Um ya good luck with that Nick. Well during the tour we are going to cover Karma Police by Radiohead, and Tonight Tonight by The Smashing Punpkins so thats going to be fun
Nicole: And we are looking to go on tour with any bands that are interested in having us support them.
Nick: Ya thats another thing we thought we were hot shit and decided to headline our last tour and we learned very quickly that we are not very popular and that we shouldnt be opening for anyone yet.
BMM:It was such a pleasure guys. We wish you the best of luck.
Matt: Thank you it was alot of fun we hope to work with you guys again!

IT'S AUGUST 25TH, 2010. JACK FROST HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Now if you ever see Jack Frost or meet with him, you would know that he is an extremly mellow person, very raw and honest. We the public have never seen him like this before. But I noticed that Jack has been a little rebelious lately, not saying I don't approve of it but, he has been taking alot of risky chances lately. For one Mr.Jack Frost exclusively told Big Music Magazine that his "first 3 albums were acoustic folk songs, and he wanted to shock his fans with some electric music". Your third album and from on is a very pivotal point in your career. It's like your drawing a template for your career, and after your third album your basically allowing everyone to know if your here to stay or not.
And four albums deep into his career. Jack let's you know with NYC-Freeze Out that he is here to stay. NYC-Freeze out is a "wild ride". Jack let's the entire world know on this album that he can do any knind of music we can throw at him. And he is not afraid to change it up. Now with the first two cuts on the album "Subterranean City Murders #875" and "Hot Tex Blues" you kind of worry about not knowing if Mr.Frost is ready for this kind of musical change. But after track three, "I Don't Bleed Red, White & Blue" (which I think should be every country besides the USA National Anthem) he let's you know he's ready to rock out. The song will definatley take you to another level. Jack gets's political on the album with track four, "Jesus on Fire", many people, especially church goers and religous people will be kind of freaked out by this song.
But you can really tell that Jack made this song simply for himself and his fans to like. And he really doesn't care what the rest of the world has to say about him. And This my friends is a singnal of change, a metamorphisis of his career, a flower blooming beautifully. Jack gives people what they have been waiting to see him do since he first started and that is to "GET WILD AND CRAZY"! But he does it in the most classiest way. Jack let's you have it on track five, NYC-Freeze Out. And track six, the album changes a pace with "Born To Fly" (which is the albums highlight. This is where the album slows down and puts you in a relaxing mood. Christina Lakes vocals are amazing with "Darkness On The Edge OF The City", a duet between her and Jack. I would have to say the album is amazing, but it's lowest point is definatley track nine, "Jurassic Jaws & The Undesirables" its the worst track on the album, but it isn't bad enough to bring the album down. And Jack maintains his excellence with the final cut "Love & Lake", which he exlusively told Big Music Magzine, is a song "Dedicated to Christina Lake". What a wondeful and beautiful way to end a beautifully, risk, roller-coaster ride of a album? HHHHHHmmm, all of this Jack and Christina talk makes me wonder when their wedding is going to be?
SINGLE REVIEWSLyrics
A Tender Kiss
The phone rings on a rainy Friday night
Nobody’s coming out, not tonight
I walk around my little flat
In nothing but my shorts and bra
Outside I hear a door slam
My boy’s getting out his car
He walks up the steps and he hits my buzzer
In he comes soaking wet
He smiles and says hey lover
He walks over to me
Puts his hands through my hair
He pulls his body close to me
And kisses me right there
He walks into the bedroom
Looking for some love
I tell him it’s not happening tonight
And I start to tell him why
I don’t write no love songs
I don’t like this feeling
I know it’s hard to resist
I know you think I’m easy
But you can have a tender kiss
We lay in bed and hold each other close
His breath on my neck is freezing cold
His hands on my legs are warm
I’m not used to feeling like this
I guess it’s better than being alone
I don’t write no love songs
I don’t like this feeling
I know it’s hard to resist
I know you think I’m easy
But you can have a tender kiss
I don’t write no love songs
I don’t like this feeling
I know it’s hard to resist
I know you think I’m easy
But you can have a tender kiss
Stacey Walton gives a vivid account of one night. In most music songs today we can't tell what is the purpose of the song. I think this song should defianetley be the girls anthem "YOUR NOT GETTING ANY TONIGHT". Excellent vocals and well detailed song.
