(OoC: I'm not sure where to put this, but I think here is as good a spot as any. I want to put together a modern rock awards show RP, and I'm open to everyone's input and ideas for categories.

How it will work is once we have all our categories anyone can send me their nominations. each person can have up to 3 nominations per category. Then the top 5 in each category are the official nominees. then everyone votes for 1 out of those 5. Once voting is done the award show RP will begin, it will have all sorts of musical performances.

Qualifications to be nominated are...

That your artist is considered to be a rock artist.
That any albums/singles you nominate are by a rock artist, and were released after October 31st 2009.

Other rules

You can nominate your artist's albums/singles
You cannot nominate two of your artist's albums/singles in one category. Ex: If the category was best rock album I couldn't nominate two Reported Failure albums, only one.
You can vote for your artist in the final voting.

OOC: Awesome! I'll definetely nominate Infinite for any category I can, and I hope everyone else does the same. Now the only problem I have is whether to nominate Midnight Skies or Blue Nebula for best album...

OOC: You can go ahead and nominate now, but I'd suggest waiting. There may be more categories added. If anyone has ideas for categories let me know. Also as this is scheduled for October sometime, I plan on having the deadline for your nominations about a week and a half before the RP starts, so albums may come out between now and then that you would want to nominate. Either way if you change your mind about something you can post your final nominations later. :)

OOC: Yeah, Laurelles and I've got some plans that may qualify, though they won't probably make their rp debut till late Septebmber/early October the earliest (ball park guess). Also, another good category might be best live act, who knows? I'll get to nominating sooner or later.

I should mention that anyone can make nominations, it just has to be rock artists that you nominate.

THe best new user award is OOC based, so just nominate new members to the game who you think have made a good impact on the game with their rock artists. The target daste for the RP is October 1oth or 17th, IO'm not sure yet. But if both dates work for your band and you want them to perform, then sign em up and I'll put them on the list.
