Our newest album, A Missive from the Last Days of Planet Earth, came out not too long after some build-up of internet pre-orders. We are selling it primarily over the internet, as you may have noticed; the pressing of it would run to five discs, which is a bit weighty. But we and Shiny Metal Ass plan on releasing a box of the music on discs with some extensive liner notes referring to the history of each track. It will be worth the scratch to avid fans, but we won't make too many.

We won't be touring this release for two reasons: 1) We have some cool plans for a comeback show of sorts and 2) We are hard at work on new material.
To elaborate on that second point, we've been holed up for the past... week or so, working on material for what will be the next Theosophical album. Since we've finished Missive, we've begun pouring through the tapes for the Machines album that hasn't been released, the Bardock epic that hasn't been released, the unreleased Sudan album, our unused demos, the upcoming Pharaohs albums, and putting together the music for our next albums. Plucking through the demos has left us with enough material for some new Theosophical material, including some bits from the 30 or so unreleased Enoch demos and discarded tunes from the long Black Machine sessions. We have a pretty good idea as to the arc of the new material and will begun proper recording and shaping somewhat soon.
Likewise, I've begun recording my solo album with the backing band I've assembled featuring one very cool guest who is a very, very good friend of the band. Right now, we're just passing some demos back and forth across the net, commenting, and getting a feel for the songs. We plan on coming together in the studio for about two weeks somewhat soon to get the body of the songs shaped, then get the main recording done with overdubs and mastering done over the next couple weeks after that. It's very exciting for me to see this song suite come together with some really great musicians behind it.
On top of this, Daniel, Harry, and Baph from Sudan are currently working with some other guests on their long-gestating secret project. At this point, Daniel has told me that I can reveal only the name of the project, as the release is still a ways out: Dome Circe. They are currently working on tunes again but, due to the complexity of the music, will need a bit of time. I'd love to reveal more, and this has kind of been a long-running secret, but I can't. I can say, though, that the bands of everyone involved have tapped into some of the Dome Circe demos for riffs in a bunch of albums you prog metal fans have been listening to. Already, you secretly love this band.
And back to the cave.
