
Rapper Rel has accused authorities of singling him out and are targeting him. The young rapper, real name Al Young, is currently awaiting trail for murder,firearms and drug charges. He is to go to trial next month.
Rel has chosen to pled not guilty following his indictment and he has now hinted that the police department is corrupt.
He tells HipHopnewz.com, "I’m innocent; I’m completely innocent. My situation is one that is unjust and unfair. The police in my city are corrupt and anyone from here knows it. Its really bad and they have been fucking with me for the past two years even before i began rapping. I'm going to fight these charges because this is my life. I just had a baby girl the other day. I'm mad at the system right now because this ain't right. I mean look at my bond. The tryna lose me in the system."
But he is grateful for the long-standing support he's received from his closest friends and relatives as he works to clear his name.
He says, "Even through these recent circumstances my family and fans have stood by me and I thank them for that."
Judge Tenith Scott gave the rapper a bond of 1.3 millon dollars (or 130,000 (10%) ).
The Altanta rapper has sent out an message to any recording excutive that he will sign to their label if they bond him out.
His world has been turned upside down. The hiphop world is watching to see what will be Rel's fate.
