The Atlanta native doesn’t have a smash hit, no big name co-sign, and he’s from a city that is a mecca for hiphop but he is still relatively unknown. So how is he selling out shows in New York City and Miami and all across the country by himself? It’s because when you’ve been pushing mixtapes are as good as his latest project, In My Life, these things tend to happen. We here at HiphopHeart happen decided to have a proper sit-down with Rel and get the run-down on his life, work ethic, and what the future holds.
Between posting bond and the release of In My Life, it seems like you must be having had a great time . How have you been spending you time since you have gotten out?
Rel: I've been working nonstop since I got out. Its like I literally live in the (Laughs). I've been recording songs like crazy man.
When the whole murder case came about and you were arrested, did you have any fears of your career being over?
Rel: Yeah. I mean I still fear that now. I'm just glad that the trail has been delayed until next year.

How long ago did you start working on In My Life?
Rel: The day I got out of jail. I mean i went straight to the studio and got to work. I finished the mixtape in two days. So it didn't take long.
Was the reception better than you imagined?
Rel: Hell Yeah. I didn't expect it to be this well recieved.
You typically stick to yourself and rarely do collabs, but you’ve talked about working with Cherise. Have ya'll been in the studio?
Rel: Nah. Not yet but I had my manager reach out to her and her camp the other day.
What other artist do you want to work with?
Rel: Stephanie Fierce. She's dope. There was this band that I heard my friend playing. What is those guys name. Oh yeah. Karma. I really would like to work with them
Where do you see yourself a year from now?
Rel: Hopefully signed and working on my debut album.
Thanks for your time. Anything you want to say to the fans?
Rel: Yeah. New mixtape coming out its called "I Want It All". Its hot to. When it drops buy it.
